Actually, in this case dominant and recessive genes can be considered superior and inferior. Looking as Big Boss's dominant genes compromise Big Boss, the ultimate soldier. And that was the goal, to create an ultimate soldier. So while nobody knew if Big Boss's recessive genes may or may not be better for ultimate soldier (and that is what the experiment was about), Liquid basicly was created as genetic opposite of Big Boss, genetic oposite of ultimate soldier Big Boss.

Came down here to post the same thing. They obviously didn't care about things like hair color and eye color, but, as Liquid put it, “more than sixty ‘soldier genes’ responsible for everything from strategic thinking... to the proverbial ‘killer instinct’.” If those genes are responsible, then someone who epressed them would be superior, based on the purpose of the project.

But didn't liquid get the dominant genes but was told that he had the resesive so that when solid and liquid eventually fought cipher\patriots would find what we're the better genes

Liquid is the perfect villain who explains everything to hero that is an ACTUAL realistic villain. There is no other realistic villain other than Liquid who explains everything to the hero. Btw nice Snake voice bro I hope my voice becomes like that too with time

The whole series is about mental health when you look at it all. I imagine with liquid they were trying not to nurture any emotions so they could get the ultimate soldiers who just follows orders. This is the same goal as opperation Snake Eater which was to break down Naked Snake of his emotions on the battlefield and "carry out the mission". Ironically both situations led to Naked and Liquid being almost TOO emotional from trauma. Juxtapose this with Solid Snake who starts off as emotionless but by giving in to emotion and finding his reason to fight is able to will himself to victory. Naked and Liquid were attempts to suppress emotions, but Solid and by extension Raiden are proof that the Emotion can enhance your will to survive and overcome. MGS V kinda speaks for itself something about phantom pain of trauma not faced idk

In other words, it wasn't genes, whether it was recessive or dominant, that killed him, but his inferiority mindset. That was the key factor that would determine his fate. So it was sealed.

The way I always understood Liquid was, dominant genes are what Big Boss was known for the genes that suppressed the recessive genes. So if Liquid got all the recessive genes, he got the genes that for Big Boss were recessive genes. Not necessarily that recessive genes are not inherently inferior, but in the case of Big Bosses genes, the recessive genes are in fact inferior.

your point on dominant genes is dumb. It's simple as this: Big Boss's dominant genes make him the ultimate soldier, so to inherit them is to become superior, while inheriting the recessive genes is to part ways with this ideal development.

You just had to remind us of the weird ahh vampires lol xD
