You don't appreciate the work that goes onto producing a song until you hear this breakdown. The Beatles were geniuses.

Hardly. The songs were written for them in the early days. The backing track was done by sessions musicians. All the lads had to do was learn the lyrics and stand in front of the mikes. They were good enough to go live on the road where the quality of the musicianship was less important because any flubs would be covered by audience noise. They didn't have to be excellent musicians, just competent enough to get through short live gigs... For exacting studio work they were nowhere near good enough, so it was all done for them by others. JPM and JL had reasonable singing voices and could harmonize well, but that's about it. They were actually quite poor in the studio, and George Martin was very reluctant to take them on. They were a rubbish garage band who demonstrated no evidence of songwriting abilities. His words, not mine. You've been sold a fairy story, like we all were.....

@@cjrbchaz1796 Read it again dude. We were all sold a lemon. I love the Beatles music, but the real truth is far from the rags to riches story we were told...

And you will be so kind and name all those session musicians for every particular song. Go on.

Your a fool. You have no idea how hard they all worked. When inspired the ideas & songs come so quick it's imperative to capture them. Paul, John & George had a backlog of material & it has been proven that they were constantly writing ideas down & would leave engagements to work out parts on a constant basis. Lennon would spend full night's in the studio. McCartney was the same. Try writing & see what happens when a door like that opens up to you.

This is so fascinating! I get mesmerized just listening to it. John sounds great singing - even without Paul. But with Paul's voice on top, it's icing, cherries and whip cream.

I've been listening to this track since I was 7 years old on "WABeatleC" AM out of New York. It always puzzled me who was singing what. Hard to tell on an AM car radio. Who else does this but The Beatles. Not to mention the chord changes and lyrics are fantastic.

Not sure if this is right for this song specifically - but the Beatles Rock Band is where a lot of stems come from. People were able to snag the audio files as separated bass/guitar/vox/drums.

Why Paul' s bass, heard alone without the rest of instruments, normally sounds like it was not in tune? This impression only happens if you hear it without the rest of the arrangement.
