When I was homeless and in a bad place this set was one of the only comforts I had. Stumbling across this was a big memory lane trip. Much love.

This was my not only my into into dnb, but my very first techno album of any kind. I recorded it onto cassette and it played on repeat in my ‘89 plymouth voyager for probably a year before anything else made it into the rotation 😂 so many found memories associated with this album. Those were the days my dudes.

Another fantastic album , more brilliant sounds to listen to , this is the kind of music you need in your life . 🎧💙🎧💙🎧

The new school can never be this. Why can't they just try harder? The early 2000s were the best DnB yrs to me

As someone who dj’d through the early 2000’s-I definitely agree that was a great time for dnb. Looking back, we’re so nostalgic. But there ARE great things still happening. Mid 90’s through 2000’s…..it was like a full time job trying to keep up with all the different and new labels. And if you were ALSO into breakcore, ragga, etc…well-hopefully you have a lot of money for records. I stopped right around the time final scratch and serato were fully integrating. I just did straight from 1200’s to the system..a REAL dj haha. But yeah-all the tech stuff coming out (Konflict, C4C, BKEY) along with drum funk starting to take hold in the late 2000’s into 2010’s. Beyond that I was deep in raising some kids and flipping a house, not vinyls 🥲. But yeah. I used to watch DJ Hive live for 5 bucks every Wednesday night at the concrete jungle night in Silverlake. Crazy fun times.

Classic bangers on this . Used to rip up the dance floor when that whiplash tune used to hit.
