I enjoy watching your videos and hearing your process. I've started quite a few quilt tops that I was thrilled about when I was putting the fabric choices together with the pattern in my head only to get a few blocks into and realize "Oh HELL NO!"... I admire your perserverance in finishing it, and It's a beautiful quilt. It may not be your favorite, but I assure you that it will be loved by whoever winds up with it.

Yes, make another one!....it's always interesting to see patterns in different colorways! There are so many options (which is what makes quiltmaking so fascinating!) - color and different fabrics can change so much within a pattern and it opens the mind to the endless possibilities available to us! I find that so exciting. Love this brown one too!

This pattern has been calling to me, too. I appreciated being able to watch you make it, and it turned out really nice. I think swapping out those brown blocks was a good choice. Absolutely make another one! I look forward to seeing what colors you come up with.

Hi, Dave. I think your choice to change out the brown blocks with the gray moon fabric was a good change. I do see you being able to remake this pattern with some color changes that could really make the pattern pop even more. I have done a number of quilts with the same pattern and changed out the fabrics and the size of the finished quilt. I will say that it is a pattern I am overly fond of and that it is one that works well with wanting to fussy cut rounded pieces, but it just turns out so well. I really enjoy watching you putting your quilts together. They have all been so different and I think watching you do this one again with more variety of fabrics will be even more fun to see how much it changes. I just love the Karen Nyberg fabrics so much. Maybe you could use more in the larger blocks.

This is a very pretty pattern but I agree - too much brown. I don't like brown with blue. If the brown had been a ochre colour, (more yellow or more orange) with a slightly lighter blue it would have worked. I love the moon fabric and the night sky fabric. I am impressed that you do such a great job with a pattern, many highly creative people can't do that and you excel in all forms of patchwork. Well done Dave.

I think it's awesome. My hubby is a tall guy he'd love it! A redo might be cool if you fussy cut some neat t-shirts and put them where the moon diamonds are now. Or, do black and neon colors. I think this would look really cool with like Cyber Punk or Tron colors. Just saying. I really like this one with the brown and blue. ❤
Good choice on the moon fabric. You can always make another one in different colors. Like all your videos. Keep it up.
I love it!
I think there is too much brown but I don't like brown very much. I love watching your videos and the choices you make are great. Very brave choices. Well done Dave keep em coming
Ich liebe deine Videos,du bist so süß und sympathisch. Der Quilt ist toll geworden❤
Love love love your videos. This quilt turned out great but I would love to see a redo.
It was interesting to watch your process when making this quilt. Your quilt is pretty. I would definitely watch a redo of this pattern.
It’s beautiful! I love the colors. Your always amazing!
I think it’s good enough to move on, however I would love to see you try different colors and especially Davitize it later down the line. As always, you’re brilliant and I can’t wait to see what you do next! ❤
I think it turned out great and someone who is into that color scheme will love it… BUT I would really love to see you make it again and Davitize it!
Great video. I love the pattern. New subbie here. I agree with the color swap.
I love the moon.
Def daveitize this pattern! IMO the triangles on the sides would look nice w the moon fabric, the brown will grow on you when its winter.

I'm always caught up on RPDR although I also go back and rewatch a lot 😜👨🏻
But, it’s not disaster level! Like it. ❤❤❤
I love the pattern but I’m right there with you - a little too much brown for me. Also, I absolutely love your choice of jazz in all your videos!!
Love the pattern. The ‘brown’ reads more orange on screen to me. It’ll be fascinating to see what you choose for the do-over
New sub! This pattern has long been on my radar, and I was thrilled to see your video in my feed. I really appreciate your choices (I confess I've 'changed horses in midstream' myself), and yes, it does take a leap of faith to change your mind mid-project, but it turned out great! I would love to see this in another colorway as well; who knows, I may decide it's time for me to tackle it as well. Thanks!
New subscriber! Great video. Thanks!

Welcome to the Craft Room 😜👨🏻
The pattern is very interesting. I would love to see it in bolder, brighter colors. It's beautiful, just a little too brown.
