I mean... you're right kinda. That's how you would say DECO*27. Nii is two and Na is seven in Japanese. He picked those numbers cause they are his favorite. He also chose the name Deco because it means forehead and he says his is big lol. So his name is literally Forehead Two Seven (Deco Nii Na)

I remember reading in an interview for Miku’s 10th Anniversary, where Deco*27 and wowaka were approached to make songs for the album. Deco*27 mentioned he was having trouble making songs and innovate, and he felt like he brought little to the album compared to wowaka (who he was friends with.) I think Deco really sets the tone for what producers make for Vocaloid music as a whole, and many follow in his footsteps as a result.

Not gonna lie, I went "??!?!" upon seeing the title, but watching this, it kind of makes sense lol. Anyway, I love Deco. He's one of my first favorite Vocaloid producers, after getting past the "Miku is so kawaii uwu" phase of the fandom. I still bop to "Mozaik Role", "Nisoku Hokou" ("Two Breaths Walking") and "Anti-beat" to this day. I do admit that I don't vibe as much with his new releases, but I do appreciate his contributions to the community, especially since his contemporaries are veering away from the scene. So yeah, thanks for making this video, and I look forward to what else you have to offer! P.S. I know you get a couple of these, so I am sorry if they can be a bit bothersome lol. But Mikito-P and n-buna are some of my favorite Vocaloid producers, and I would love to see your take on their works in the future, if you plan on doing so.

Thanks for your videos. It's been quite a few years since I got into Vocaloid, but due to my social anxiety, depression, etc, I never got to interact with the Vocaloid fandom, nor did I know about drama, the producers life, and more. Your videos are essentially what I wished I had all those years ago, someone who could tell me about this things I was so intrigued by, but never got to dive fully into. So thanks. I'm looking forward to your future videos as well.

I never thought I'd see a comparison between Kanye West and a Vocaloid producer but I get your points :D What fascinates me about Deco*27 the most is that while his music is always evolving, changing and adapting it still stays similar in it's core. A lot of his songs are based on his own experience and you can see similar patterns throughout the years. His use of wordplay and references create deep but vague lyrics with rather complicated feelings which often result in different interpretations of his songs. I've always loved to read his lyrics and get a different meaning with each reading and additional information. Great video! Very entertaining as usual!~

DECO*27 has been one of my favorite Vocaloid producers ever, yet I'll admit I raised an eyebrow when he started transitioning from his usual lively songs in terms of lyrics, especially in GHOST. Him making a literal YANDERE SONG for Android Girl certainly came out of nowhere, not gonna lie there. And yet, no matter the lyrics and no matter the instrumentals, I can instantly recognize his style and keep falling in love with his songs over and over again. After all, "Love" will always be his central theme... and we all both need and give love in our lives.

A Vocaloid essayist? You do know your stuff. Sadly I fell out of the scene in the last 5 years, but the way you contextualize the early Vocaloid years seems accurate to my experience. One shoutout though to Yowamushi Montblanc, which got overshadowed by Mozaik Role, but remained one of my absolute favorites of all time. DECO*27 single-handedly promoted Megpoid Gumi as a great alternative Vocaloid. Still my favorite Vocaloid, although sadly irrelevant nowadays because only the Crypton Vocaloids survived as key characters.

I absolutely love DECO*27's music, and while I got into the community very late, I'm a huge collector of his music and listen so often to his early music, since his music was there when I first entered the community. His music is what inspires me to want to make music myself one day. Because I was so late to the community (entering mainly in just 2015), it was really interesting to hear some more information about this. Frankly, DECO*27 was the third producer that I got into with Two-Breaths Walking after wowaka with Rolling Girl and KazuP with Innocence. What I love about DECO*27's music is that, like you've said, it sounds unique from each and every song. I swear, I've been trying to pick out his old sound, but from Delusion Tax to Moushou Kanshou Daishou Renmei to Android Girl, it's unique. And I swear to the gacha gods, DECO*27 x Rockwell is like the kz(livetune) x HachiojiP of our scene, and I love that! ALSO POLICE PICCADILLY APPRECIATION YES

Hey, I really enjoy your Videos about Vocaloid. I discovered Miku about eight or ten years ago, I don´t know exactly. But I quickly fell in Love wit Miku and her Music. I was never a Part of the Community, but Vocaloid Music has interested me a lot over the past few Years. I even took Japanese Classes because of Miku´s Music because I learned about the Language and Grammar through her Music and have been to the two Vocaloid Concerts that took Place in Germany. Your Videos really help me to discover how the Culture around Vocaloid has formed. Thank you very much!

i got into vocaloid around 2018, i love alot of songs from producers whether if its recent like Omoi and DECO or rlly old producers like hachi and ryo. In these 3 years, i've listened and enjoyed vocaloid alone 'cause no one i knew, both irl and online are fans of vocaloid. I love this channel because i can finally hear someone else other than me talking about vocaloid. I became even happier when i found your take on DECO*27, because he's one of my top favorite producers. Love you man.

I kid you not, I've looked these Kanye songs up you mentioned and have not heard them once in my life lmao. Anyways the Video was really great! It's very interesting that DECO*27 was able to stay so relevant to the Vocaloid community over so many years. He's one of my favorite producers, Ghost Rule was actually the song that really made me fall in love with Vocaloid.

I just found your channel and I just want to say I'm glad I did :). You can describe why I have been with vocaloid for around a decade. Immediately subscribed and am planning to marathon all of your channel. Thank you for being so respectful to these producers and being serious with vocaloid. Because with jokes aside, vocaloid is a platform that has changed both the producers and the listeners. I recently downloaded utau and am learning how voice synthesizers work and it gives me so much more of an appreciation for utau/vocaloid. I don't know if you'll read this, but I'm looking forward to watching more of your videos! I would love if you ever made a video about Oster Project, since I believe she has pumped out content, sometimes whether it's been popular or not (at least that's some of my take) that is always so satisfying to hear. Along with her instrumentals being amazing.

Really interesting, the combination of Kanye and DECO was kinda weird imo but I understand your points, I also take some notes to use it for my music. I really admire DECO*27, he had conquer most of the goals I want archive, and with the inclusion of the new studio he has, it will be interesting how he would do in the rest of his way as a producer.

Fun Fact: In the PVs for Relationship Scramble and Otome Kaibou, shop displays can be seen. On those displays are character outfits from the PVs for Relationship Scramble (in the Otome Kaibou PV), Two Breaths Walking (in the Otome Kaibou PV), Android Girl (in both PVs), and Otome Kaibou (in the Relationship Scramble PV, obviously). This could imply that all of those songs take place in the same universe, most likely even the same city. And that can mean only one thing. A DECO*27 CINEMATIC UNIVERSE.

Hi! I just found your channel and after going through all your videos I'm definitely going to be following your channel closely! There aren't many serious vocaloid KZreadrs let alone ones that talk about things the way you do and I LOVE it. Please keep doing this. You bring up things that aren't really talked about and have a certain way of seeing things that I like. Things like your videos remind me why I keep listening to vocaloid. I can't wait to see what comes next! I'll be supporting you all the way.

When you mentioned DSCF my emotions immediately went all over the place. I remember hearing it around 2018 from an arcade rhythm game and it instantly stuck with me. Around that time I was somewhat down because of family issues and stress from school but the song somehow kicked me hard enough to almost make me tear up. The song which honestly felt really different from all the songs I've ever heard helped me through the rough times I faced and now It's become a symbol of hope for me when I listen to it. Deco's music seriously had an impact on my life(probably exaggerating here) and now whenever he releases something I just start fanboying to the point where my friends joke that I worship him like a God :P
