The less you have the easier it is to manage, organize & wear. In 2017 I downsized to 40 clothing items for work & casual (plus lounge, workout, undergarments, coats & shoes). It made a HUGE difference!! I live in climate extremes so I swap my warm/cold clothes by season but strive to keep it to 40 items. I agree with the above: if it's not a HELL YES, it's a no.

I am also decluttering and downsizing clothes. A couple of things that stick in my mind that have been helpful to decide whether or not to keep: "If it is not a hell yes, then it is a no."- Let go of your maybes! Someone else suggested "Yes or No" piles for "Have you worn it in the last year?". Then, "Will I wear it in the next year, for the No's"? I also use the backward hanger method, which works to figure out what you are actually wearing. At the end of the season, I make myself try on everything I have not worn that season. I ask myself, "Does it fit"? "Does it look good on me"? "Does it reflect my current style"? "Do I love it"? "Do I have things to wear with it"? I make my wish list from those items I love that don't have a coordinate at present for. Good luck!

I can’t imagine doing so much in ONE DAY! 👏🏽 When I declutter, my decision fatigue hits way earlier. Most times I declutter (maybe 2-3 times a year) I feel ruthless in the moment and then realise I don’t miss any of the clothes I donated, other times I get all sentimental and want to keep almost everything, only to get rid of it the next time! 😂 You’ve done an awesome job!

Loved this video Alice! I definitely resonate with you on so many levels. I have been following your channel for several years, as another graphic designer I think I may have found you when just looking for GD'ers to follow and I just love your videos. On the clothing sizes and holding on to things, I feel you! I did my own clean out not long ago and have kept a bag in the top of my cupboard for a few things but it's hard as you get older I feel that weight gain is inevitable but I like to keep some things just in case while being on a better health journey. To being healthy and comfortable! 🙌🙌🙌

I came to your channel through your video on the tour of your apartment at Lincoln. My son is just a few years younger than you and also hated sharing a kitchen in first year. After seeing your video he also got an apartment on his own at Pavs. He stayed there, much happier, until he left just over a year ago now, having completed his master's degree in computer science. I thank you so very much for that video as it made such a difference in his uni journey, and so the rest of his life really. I've watched you ever since! Just remember your body changes, you were a girl now you are a woman, when you become a mum it will change again. And believe me the menapause brings big changes, but you won't have to worry about that for a long time! Just be healthy 👍 🤗 🙏

Every girl should have a pair of classic black heels like 27:40. They go with basically anything and makes your legs look longer and slimer plus you keep your posture better. Also if you have comfy heels that you like, are comfortable and look good on you just keep them. Better to wear comfy shoes that suit you than have a painful awkward walk in heels in style.

that light chartreuse Is your colour, when you hold it close your face is lit and well contrasted. Rats, you chucked it. And in another vid your Mum literally says "airing cupboard" after you said is it a pantry? Airing, Airing!!! But you were right about lilac, not you at all, nor the cream..You need to go shopping with the rich auntie more often...Hint- adulting includes chucking heels and buying quality tailoring...
