I remember thinking a year and a half ago Rice was what we were missing in midfield but thought he'd go Chelsea because of the price tag. Rice and Partey together could be one of the best central midfield pairings in football - Shame Parteys injuries are stopping us from seeing it...

@@kunimitsune177 He was really undisciplined at the time. However that was during the time where Arsenal were at their worst and were stuck at Mid-Table. When Arteta came in, he sorted out the problems like terminating Aubameyangs contract, letting Ozil go and many other problems. Also Xhakas mentality seemed to have changed and he improved as time went on.

The fact we've seen nobody even question the price tag since he joined tells you all you need to know. I love the fact that Arsenal are acting like a big club finally. They saw a player who could have a huge impact on our team and literally be central to building up from where we were at the end of last season and we pushed harder than City to get our man and got him. Absolutely love what he brings to the team and has barely put a foot wrong since he joined.

When you realize the video is almost 10 minutes long and we’re only 1/3rd of the way through the season. Absolutely insane he has all these highlights in such a short amount of time.

He's not perfect yet but he's a hell of a player and could legitimately develop into the best holding midfielder in the world. He just needs to become a touch more press resistant and pass a tiny bit better and he's there.

What I love about Rice is when the team is losing or fighting for a winner he steps it up and leads the team forward. It was a quality the West Ham players credited for their premier league survival

This guy will play for any team in the world, he's that good. Hopefully, Arsenal are able to sign a better partner for him in midfield either in winter or summer without all the injury drama plaguing partey.

One of the best signings in our clubs history, I don't think anyone has mentioned his price tag since he'd played a few games for The Arsenal. He's such a hardworking, dedicated, talented and intelligent player and to be honest, I think we actually robbed West Ham!!

Can see why Arsenal were determined to get him at whatever the cost. I think if we paid an extra £20/30 mil it would still have been a steal. He’s genuinely one of the top midfielders in world football.

him and Saliba actually have very similar techniques. Both are very physical, calm and both exactly know every step that they take. Always focused in for 100% and in total control. Bcs of them and + Gabriel6 we conceded less than anybody in prem so far.

I thought our fan base was too harsh on Ødegaard for calling Rice the captain but I now see it. BEAST of a midfielder and a real leader out there.🔥🔥

The beautiful thing is that he is not even affected or fazed by that price tag.

I think about all the times as a kid my friends and I would try to find the perfect DM for Arsenal to finally fulfill that Vieira mythology, of all the players we "discovered" and disappointed that Wenger didn't sign them, none have come close to what Declan Rice has turned out to be for Arsenal. Everyone knew he was good, but what Arteta has done is masterful, era defining signing.

He is a pure DM not a fancy passer like kimmich and de jong, he is physically beast, elite tackler, amazing ball winner,very intelligent in breaking opponents attack, composure, Ball carrying ,and passing also really good

Addition of Zubimendi in that midfield is all I need. Odegaard x Zubimendi x Rice. I think Thomas Partey need to be sold for some reliable fees he's gradually becoming a liability with his injury records. Rice is the perfect replacement for Thomas but still need that Xhaka replacement in Zubimendi cos Kai can't be that guy.
