I just want to correct myself at 5:00, the strumming pattern is DDU-DDU-DUD-UUDU. Sometimes explaining while recording is difficult on my brain as you can probably tell lol. Hopefully you figured that out and I apologize for my dumbass :)

Hey great tutorial! I just wanted to add that I think the slide is actually from the 9th fret to the 11th, not the 10th. I listened to the song more closely and watched Declan’s tutorial so that’s why I think it’s the 11th. But yeah other than that, your tutorial is the one that taught me to play this! Thank you!!!!

when you play the bar chord, it helps to have your pointer finger kind of on its side against the strings, instead of flat across, it's going to lay on its side, if that makes sense. That helped me sooo much when I was learning

Beginner guitarist here, I found everything so easy except the goddamn chords- my pinkie finger is just like “haha, sike”

Its amazing, the Chords Sound awful when you teach them but when you Play the Song Its fantastic 👍🏻 How do you do that?

On the 5th fret you said the strumming pattern was down up. But when you played it looked as if it was down up down. Which way is it?

Fudge655 thank you for bringing that up, I didn’t realize until later that I didn’t explain it properly. The first two chords are a d-d-u, while the third chord is a d-u-d and the fourth chord is an u-u-d-u. I had a hard time explaining that in the video so I apologize !! I hope that clears it up.

Zara Franco Yes !! It’s a D flat minor/ G sharp minor, B, A, and E. Lots of beginners have trouble with it when just hearing the chords so I didn’t even bother with them lol.

Passenrise_ Haha sure no problem. The strumming pattern for the first two chords is the same, with DDU but the third and fourth chords begin with DUDU. Does that help?

katie wettergren That’s honestly a great idea ! but the sad truth is that we small handed people just have to accept it :( the only way around playing a chord too difficult for small hands is to play an alternate chord or a similar chord. The more you practice playing a difficult chord, however, the easier it will be to play eventually. Keep trying !!

Austin Moreno a few things I learned about bar chords are that you don’t need to apply a crazy amount of pressure on the strings for it to sound right, also if your fingers start hurting take a break or pick it up again the next day. If you’re not used to playing bar chords, it may take a while to get used to it but you WILL !! I hope this somewhat helps.

Emilyyy I’ve been playing this song for almost 2 years and I STILL struggle with the transitions, as you can tell from the video haha. You’ll get a lot better, but nothing gets easier for us small handed people lol
