A Short & Concise Summary of How to be Decisive: Wage *WAR* to Overcome the 3 Decision Pitfalls 1. We rarely consider more than two options. Ask yourself: "How can I *widen* (or expand) my options?" 2. We are blinded by short-term emotions. Ask yourself: "How can I *attain distance* from my short-term emotions?" 3. We have a false sense of certainty (Confirmation Bias). Ask yourself: "How can I *reality-test* my assumptions?"

Your videos so well put together. I have read many of the books you have summarized and, even though there is often a lot more information and supporting points in the book, I realize most times that I could have stopped at your video and gotten most of the value. Thanks for putting these videos together Nathan (y)

Cheers Nathan. Interesting concepts familiar to behavioural economics and design thinking to name 2. I wonder if the dissatisfied lawyers and teachers would have felt the same way had they treated their first 2 years in the job as an experiment: - To see which aspects of law/education they enjoyed the most - To see how many adjacent possible opportunities were/are available that seem interesting - To see how many clients/businesses/students and other educators they encountered who made them think/feel something

Attaining Distance was a huge breakthrough for me in 2019 or 2020 religiously. Everyone is a child of God, and as Christians we're supposed to love and be kind to them. So why is it okay to be mean and insulting towards the child of God I'm personally given the most control over. I use a technique a lot to ask "would you be okay saying this to another child of God" or "what would you do if the situation was reversed". It helped me a lot to be kinder to myself, and to reach out for help. Because if I was able to stop someone from hurting without hurting myself, I would want them to ask me. So, I should ask when I need help. Near infinite other examples of using this, but it's amazing!
