The seedings, if my understanding is right could be wrong, is based on PDC ProTour Order of Merit. Chisnall won 3 euro tour events last year and that has something to do with it.

Nah, don't think so. There's defo a 'political' side to being from NI and having that flag on your flights.. For sure. But would hate to see any stick being given to a different player from Northern Ireland with a shamrock or an harp on their flights. Great player anyway, hope he pushes on.

The darts, as usual, were brilliant but what puts it off for me is that annoying caller and his sing song voice. He ruins it for me every freaking time as I have to turn off the volume. Maybe he thinks that he is the star of the show.

@mikewickens2016 They’re the worst possible pairing. Nicholson is the ultimate darts nerd who doesn’t know when to shut up and constantly references 2nd pro tour matches from 2013 and Dan Dawson is just someone who LOVES the sound of his own voice

@@WestCoastWilliam I agree. I've no idea how Dan Dawson has managed to get such a prominent commentators role incl WC final. The pair of them need to rein it in. They seem to feel the need to comment on every single dart. In addition some of the comments are ridiculous e.g. DD - beating Danny Noppert playing well below par is not "extraordinary work" by Rob Cross. PN - "how does LH do that, would someone please tell me?" I'll tell you - there was still over half the bed to aim at. I've been watching darts since 1982 and I agree the sport is in a great place right now, but (and only this last year or two) I find Messrs Nicholson and Dawson irritate, add nothing and imo take away from the enjoyment of watching the game.

After Luke Humphries snarky comments last night after beating Littler I like him even less than before , so I hope he loses .
