December 26 2023 - Hollyoaks - James & Ste
It's Boxing Day morning and Lucas is still missing. Ste is frantic, Leah blames James and when James says it's his responsibility to bring him home, Ste tells James he doesn't want James anywhere near Lucas. Lucas is at the Maalik's house, and Misbah calls Ste to tell him Lucas is safe and says she'll walk him home so he'll be okay. Misbah finds James at home and tells James she doesn't feel comfortable leaving Lucas alone with James and will wait with him until Ste arrives back. Ste and Lucas have an emotional reunion and Ste tells him they're going to Leela's, until James says that it's only right that he moves out instead of them. Later, Ste and Lucas have a heart to heart and Ste reassures Lucas over James. Lucas sees how upset Ste is and makes a phone call to James asking to talk...

Wow. James' actor is doing a wonderful job with this story, but it's definitely a shame they're having James go down that path after he fought against it so hard - especially with the one time he lashed out at Romeo. Juliet died, Marnie died, and everything that made James good just died too.

I'm wondering if Lucas realized he made a mistake in trying to break Ste and James up and that he may have misjudged James and maybe all Lucas wanted was to be a priority for both Ste and James.
