Guitarist - Vogg - is a fuckin beast man. I dare to say he's Dimebag's level. This dude can play anything literally. Have seen him live with Decapitated, with Machine Head as well, even got chance to chat a little bit with him. Coolest guy ever. One of the best guitar players out there right now.

The drummer in decapitated is a monster too so that helps a lot but vogg definitely has some badass riffing. Decapitated is basically what I’d expect from rise against if they ever went death metal instead of punk

Decapitated kicks fucking ass. You should check out Mushroomhead if you aren't familiar with them truant. I'd recommend either Solitaire/Unraveling or Qwerty

great band, you should check out their old stuff, i recommend "A Poem About and Old Prison Man" from their album called Organic Hallucinosis, that's my favorite song

Post (?) Organic was mine, is mine from OH album. Then also I liked The Negation song 'Three-Dimensional Defect' also. Their first 4 albums were who they actually were, then the drummer died and singer comatized. So it ended there and then in tragedy.

You should look into some Fear Factory man! Preferably songs like Powershifter, Linchpin, or Resurrection

I haven't listened to decapitated since nihility, but this sounds quiet different than what I was used to. perhaps it's just this song in particular thats throwing me off? Did they openly switch genres? (edit: sub genres) They were founded as death metal if I remember correctly, and when I think death metal I think of bands like dying fetus, nile, cephalic carnage, though I know some bands that are deemed death metal sometimes are tagged as tech death. idk, someone school me on something I might be missing here. O.o

Not sure if you are aware but Decapitated got arrest and charged with kidnapping and rape of a young girl on their tour bus. Read recently they have pleaded not guilty, so a trail date is to be set soon.
