I’m not sure if it’s only me, but it’s very hard to go back to still water.. just doesn’t satisfy my thirst, especially after a workout.
Flavored sparkling water pretty much helped me stop drinking regular soda.

Yes. Waterloo and spindrift stopped my cola habit
I drink plain seltzer every day, all day. I am currently on a Keto/Intermittent fasting diet and it really helps me get thru my day. I add lime, cucumber and lemon slices to a glass full of ice and I'm good to go. It's super refreshing, especially on a hot summer day. It's also a good substitute for alcohol. I am a champagne drinker, so the seltzer gives me my bubbles without the alcohol and carbs. I recently went to a family gathering and I didn't want to break my diet, so I just brought a few cans of seltzer. I didn't miss a beat. I got my mother hooked too. She loves it. No need for sugary sodas to make her burp lol. Sparkling water is a win, win in my book and I recommend it to those who don't like drinking plain water.

The only thing I’d caution is the lemon, that can erode your teeth. Just make sure to use a straw when you drink it
I drink either topo chico or pellegrino sparkling water daily. It helps me to maintain a longer fasting window (18/6 or OMAD) and cuts down my craving for sweet tea.
I bought a Kegerator for the sole purpose of creating sparking water 24/7. Best decision ever!

Mad respect for not cracking a smile when u said diarrhea
When I drink carbonated water I feel much more fuller than when drinking plain water. Carbonated water and Diet Soda also is a good way to transition from high sugar food intakes that make people obese, to one that you can substitute those sweet drinks with zero sugar. I feel that carbonated water and diet soda is a safe alternative to water, soda and high fructose drinks.

Wrong! Diet soda is poison!
Great explanation, presentation!
I often add a squirt of lemon juice and a pinch of salt to my sparkling water. The citric acid converts to alkaline as well as slowly dissolving oxalates which can lead to kidney stones. Plus it tastes good!
Annoying music.
Thank you for clearing any misperceptions about carbonated water. I drink it because I don't like the mouth-feel of plain water.
Sometimes I feel that I want to drink soda, because of the bubbles. So I now when I have this desire, Im just taking flavored sparkling water (no sugar). And then my desire to drink soda disappears. So its a good substitution, and I avoid drinking tons of sugar.
Interesting. Thanks for breakdown. I actually enjoy various sparkling water flavors and Rum... since I can't have the sugar, HFCS, or aspartame found in pop.
thanks! Since I was diagnosed with pre-diabetics, I gave up alcohol. But I missed having an occasional beer. The Soda-Stream Aqua water is perfect. It gives me the bubbles
Here in The Netherlands it is very difficult to find sparkling water without added fluoride.

The risk is you might find water more appealing to consume and drink more of it, and perhaps you might be motivated to replace sugary or artificially sweetened soft drinks or beer/cider with carbonated water.
