The amount of people falling for his apology is actually ridiculous. His apology isn’t even an apology, ignoring the fact it’s lies, half of what he says is ‘I didn’t do this, I actually did this’ rather than apologising for what he did wrong. This would be fine.. except he did do something wrong and he admits that very briefly.

The problem is (though I am not blaming these fans for this, Alex is completely at fault for all this) that a lot of his fans are pretty impressionable kids and teens who don't quite understand how serious the situation is. It happened with Colleen as well - her young fans are defending her. All we can hope is that the fans grow up, realise it's wrong and decide to leave the yansim fandom.

@@amberr3662 This is what I hate abt his apology as well. Everyone knows that you need to make it explicit who this apology is for and not to defend or forgive him, considering he should be taking fault for his actions. He knows by making his apology his younger audience would forgive him.

The problem is that there have been so much YanDev drama that when this story blew up it did not go (as) viral. What actually started being pushed by the algorithm was his apology, which means that a lot of people actually found out about the drama through the apology and saw the curated statement the victim posted, which doesn't just "confirms" what he says in the video, but straight up makes it seems like he was being light on the events. So for a lot of people, the story is basically: Yandev was talking with a fan, the fan was coerced by dramatubers to record him, take screenshots, and push for certain topics to make him dig his own grave, then turned all of that to the dramatubers. This is story is false, but it's compelling. YanDev makes sure to keep only the positive and neutral comments on the video, and if you don't have the dislike button extensions you can't even see people disliking the video.

I know it’s terrible to say, but I WISH some kids could suffer more to understand how other ppl have it. Some ppl are so sheltered. i think this shows how easily manipulated many of us are, and i know for a fact that no one genuinely went to read the whole drama, with both sides (including me) it shows that not only are our attention spans to blame but also the fact we don't care a lot about it. even though i have been following the whole yandere dev situation with a few videos throughout the years, i feel like this is when you realize how little kids are taught about not only research, but manipulation. there are many that never research including me, either because they never really understand the core concept, or they simply just really dont like reading, something that for me is out of the way. dramas are comfort zones for many, and not their business, so when they get out of their comfort zones for these dramas they don't care about, they will probably either be biased for one side due to not looking at the other side enough, or nope out quickly. i am literally just like all of these other people, and to be honest these dramas are 100% not my business, but its just interesting how many people comment on these videos after watching 1 video on a very deep and complex situation and think they figured it out, just because a youtuber said the "facts". and this is something that happened, with noodle, which blatantly lied to his viewers about triple a games and just has the complete wrong conclusion, and how he splices his video to get his point across, the manipulative wording, and just overall seeming just lifeless now. but as you expect i never even watched the original video lol. essentially what im saying is that all the sh im saying could possibly be false and that's ok, its my fault and its alright, we all make mistakes and for here i am shamelessly gonna say i didnt really need to watch the original video after watching the hour long video that analyzes the whole video. theres also the lack of truth and fact checking nowadays, and even though ground news seems cool, its really just about news, and overall from what ive seen there is almost zero truth checker, probably because of how complex these dramas are, they never ever stop with this, and of course when it comes to the kids they dont know that they gotta check every little thing for sources or they gotta listen to intentional manipulation by wording they just eat it up, and the video on noodle has taught me that kids will believe any youtuber if they have enough editing and nice enough words to sugarcoat the whole thing, exactly like american propaganda back in the 50s when sugarcoating was high tide along with other propaganda. its nice artwork but the sound design, the whole comfortable feeling, literally just propaganda and this is something myself came to a conclusion about, it just felt too obvious like propaganda. but nowadays when we dont have any time to look back on recent events due to it still unfolding, it really seems like its overwhelming and sometimes you believe the wrong people just because they speak fancy shmancy words. this happens to people like noodle or sunnyv2 or of course, yandere dev. there is a unlimited possibility of youtubers that really could be manipulating you into supporting their agendas and you never know, because you usually only watch the video once, and move on with your life. and i think this comes back to how we really dont care about these videos and strictly watch it for enjoyment, and how we believe in the official sounding people instead of just analyzing the situation by paying attention instead of using it as a whole comedy skit that lasts a hour and is scary. i dont know what to say for the conclusion but like... watch out for any of these slimy grimy youtubers and always know that no matter what they will try to make you subscribe to their agenda, either by the fact they didnt do something or they are hungry money thieves, i hope you somehow avoid them, and i hope your staying safe out these streets.

"I know she is far from the perfect victim" agreed but let's also start actively acknowledging that there is no such thing as a 'perfect victim' and the idea is simply a means to deny ANY victim any kind of justice and using their reaction to abuse as a means of denying them belief and aid. Trauma doesn't always make you a meek and quiet helpless person. Sometimes you end up helping your abuser cuz that's the only thing that you believe keeps you safe, sometimes you end up like me and become a deeply angry and distrustful person. The more we attack people for not being perfect victims the more they will retreat often into the arms of their abusers.

As a past grooming victim (I was groomed by my own stepfather into stuff that's honestly terrifying to consider, looking back), the comment about being in the eye of the storm hit home for me. When learning about the forms of abuse in school, I remember feeling that the lesson on s*xual abuse hit home for some reason. I kept denying it, thinking "No, he didn't touch me where I didn't want him to, no of course this isn't me!" Nothing anyone else said could dissuade me. My mom's comments and arguments about us being way too close were just things I glossed over. Then, it hit. When I read an article online and I just knew. He was grooming me s*xually from the age of 12. And the rose-tinted glasses shattered. Jelly, hopefully you come to your senses like I did. I don't know what entirely transpired between you and Alex. But you don't have to be the reason this failing game gets support. Having the glass shatter is terrifying, especially when it's someone you look up to. The most common reason that people keep trying to support Alex is that they don't want the game to die. While I'm also sad to see the game itself die, we need to remember that yandere simulator as an idea doesn't go away. Tons of talented individual have made "fan" works with these characters, imagined their own stories for them, some have even tried making games! We don't need Alex or his game for these characters and ideas to continue to live, we only need our own creativity.

If you really want Yandere Simulator to end and you want to see a better production in better hands, it would be better to support me. Because I am holding the fight for revenge against Alex Mahan high, and I have the courage and hope to take Alex down. I haven't forgotten what Alex did to me and others. A friend of mine was on the verge of s**cide because of him and a moderator shamelessly told him that it might be a good thing that he could do that. I managed to save him from that brink but what about those who suffered more at his hands? Alex Mahan must be punished and I must say this: God does not forgive those who trespass against people, those who persecute them and those who are heretics. As long as people do not forgive, God will continue to send his wrath.

For a man who got so angry about minors "wasting his time" asking to be volunteers, it's certainly interesting that he was actively hiring children to work for his game... Even if Cameron told him he was 17 (which I'm sure he did, because he has always kept up the lie that he's a year older than he actually is), that still would've made him a minor. Either way, Alex knowingly hired a minor for his project after throwing a tantrum about children emailing him asking to work on the game. He's a hypocrite and a creep who deserves to be behind bars.

YandereDarvo, Alex, is the epitome of how codependence will ruin your own life, especially on a failed project. This codependency he’s had (and still has) to keep his game afloat has now spilled into the mind of the minor he groomed, where now this young fan who's only 16 will do and say anything possible to keep the game going, even if it is false and sacrifices her own mental health and reputation. Both now heavily rely on the project because they believe it’s the one saving grace in their lives to keep them functioning, to the point they will do anything to cling onto it, which is the most depressing aspect to take away from this whole thing. Understandably, he doesn't want to accept that he fundamentally wasted ten years of his life, but it's blatant that the existence of this game is not helping anyone anymore, and is now doing more harm than good. I hope the child properly gets away from everything, and actual justice gets served to Alex before he inevitably does something to this level to another child again.

The biggest mastermind move he made was to fully ignore the snapchat messages as if those don't exist. Because he only addressed the VC and had the curated statement by the victim (and by controlling the comments in the channel) he managed to push the narrative he wanted. Even worse, most people finding out about this did so through his own video, so they get this version of him that apparently checks out and don't go looking for context. When you see his video first thing, there is enough plausible deniability to believe it, specially after the victim's statement, it's only after you find out the snapschat screenshots that it becomes clear what he is doing.

“This fan told me right away that she was 16, but I didn’t care” And that’s the problem, Alex. Not only was she your fan, she is/was 16. There is absolutely no reason that you as a 35 year old should be talking to a 16 year old, aside from a brief “thank you for supporting the game” You had the power to shut the conversation down when “things got too spicy” and you started to “feel uncomfortable “. Also, putting aside the predatory shit for a minute, other than the game what would you even talk about with a 16 year old? There is a huge age gap there, your interests are vastly different. ALSO Also, Jelly was high while talking to him??? Hoo boy, that just makes him even more of a creep. And I’m (not) sorry, but the moment an alleged predator starts defining what grooming is, I immediately do not wanna hear it. Abusers will often use this tactic to move the goal post so they could say “what I didn’t wasn’t abuse because I didn’t -insert what they think abuse is-“ It’s kinda like an emotional abuser saying they’re not an abuser because “I never even hit you, you are not abused”

As a grooming victim myself who has been abused all her life by my said groomer for a whole year, yanderedev is full of shit, his apology isn't sincere. He tried to make himself look like the victim, which is disgusting. He is not a victim, he's a fully grown adult who manipulated a child, he's a deplorable person and he doesn't deserve to have a platform. Anyone who tried to "accept" his apology aren't even victims themselfes, nor have any past of being groomed, so i don't get WHY they think that they have the right to accept an "apology" that wasn't theirs to begin with.

Him saying "but idk how to shut down a minor who send me inappropriate stuff 🥺" disgust me. I, a 20 years old, met a friend online which I thought was an adult. Later on, in my Instagram art support group they started saying very inappropriate stuff (there are other minors in there 14+) . I told them to stop, they didn't. Then I told them that we could talk in private about this or make an NSFW group for 18+ people but NOT here. This person stated they were 15. I immediately told them how wrong it was for them to have lied to me about their age and that it was dangerous for them to say that stuff online. Then I kicked them out of the group and restrained their account. All of this in a few hours. I knew this person for months and developped a friendship with them, I threw everything away once this happened. Because guess what? Even if it hurts, it was the right thing to do, to protect the other minors and yes that underage person too.

The fact that he didn't adress almost ANYTHING and still has people falling for his words is absolutely ridiculous to me, to say the least. Ridiculous and horryfying at the same time. It seems to me that he only mentioned those of his doings that might not seem inappropriate in people's eyes just to be like "oh I know I crossed the boundaries a little uh-oh silly me, but I won't do that any longer so let's just move on as if nothing ever happened hehe". I've watched his whole video while it was still up, and was waiting for him to at least admit to asking the girl for those videos, let alone explain what the actual f was going on. It wouldn't justify any of his actions, but still. He did not adress anything. And I personally believe that people can change if a certain amount of work on themselves is done. But not in his case. Instead of him knowing and openly admitting to having this problem of having an inappropriate interest in minors, he sees nothing wrong with it or does something about it and just keeps doing what he was doing. And who knows how many girls like Jane are there out there, who are just afraid to speak up. This is absolutely horryfying and disgusing and I have no idea how he managed to get away with doing this for so long

It also sickens me that he has the audacity to blame it on mental health (although not surprising given that it's alex). When even if it was the case, I don't recall ever hearing or reading the having mental health causes you to talk with miners?! When Yandere Dev said "now that I've apologized" (paraphrased) and went into some long statement about how he's improving his life, I found them both funny and annoying. The man dodges accountability, then acts as if all is resolved and he can just move on. He just skips the punishment (which should include prison time...) and talks about his life as if he went on some self-improvement journey and turned his life around, when we all know he's probably embellishing at best. The man straight up committed crimes, and he talks like his mental well-being is the one most important. Instead of, you know, that of the child's.

What really bothers me is that these groomers time and time again make the same excuse that the minor made sexual advances to them first and that they felt pressured to pretend they were okay with it. What's even more sickening is some gullible people buy into this common bs excuse. It doesn't matter that the minor was into the adult, their actions can't consent because their age doesn't consent. It is very important that when an adult is friends with a child that there are strict boundaries in place. As the adult it's your responsibility that if the kid gets out of line that you tell them to stop and block contact with them. If you do nothing to stop them and just engage back inappropriately it automatically comes off that you are preying on the child. No matter what your intentions and feeling were in the moment, there's no evidence backing up that you weren't okay with it when you only went along with it and did nothing to prove that you weren't okay with it. The only evidence shown to us in yandere dev's case is that he stayed in contact with this 16 yr old girl, responded fondly to her inappropriate remarks, and engaged in sexually inappropriate conversations with her. Nothing about his actions back then shows he was pressured and uncomfortable with where the relationship was going. Therefore we can't prove his statements to be truth and we can only prove he's guilty by the evidence provided. You aren't going to get off of any criminal charges with evidence so damning by saying "Yes I did this crime but I didn't want to do it."🤦‍♀
