I totally agree even though I love me some Joni Sledge. Kathy's voice is very distinctive

Please never forget that the composers and musicians behInd their old 1979 hits were Nile Rogers, Bernard Edwards, Tony Thompson = Chic.

Would love to see a biopic on Sister Sledge. They definitely had a impact on female groups with the biggest hit We Are Family, still playable now.

@@PS-Archive. Debbie (eldest sister) also kicked Kathy (youngest sister and lead singer of Sister Sledge) out of the group (because of Kathy's short-term pursuit of a solo career). Kathy was taken to court by the rest of Sister Sledge. Kathy lost the legal right to refer to or say Kathy 'from' or Kathy 'of' Sister Sledge legally. In future years, Kathy would at times be allowed to perform with Sister Sledge. Joni (2nd oldest sister and new lead singer after Kathy's exit from the group) passed away in 2017. RIP. Kim (2nd youngest sister) reconciled with ostracized baby sister Kathy. Debbie disapproved of Kim's renewed closeness to sister Kathy resulting in Debbie kicking out both former lead singer Kathy and Kim (her only 2 sisters). I think Kim can still refer to herself as Sister Sledge but she apparently gave it up. Debbie replaced the other founding members (Kathy Sledge and Kim Sledge; they are her sisters), with Debbie's daughter, son, Joni's son, and a friend. I wonder if Debbie's ego does not allow her to let go of grudges. I think the group would be a lot more successful, perform more live concerts, sell more expensive tickets, and acquire more fans, if Kathy and Kim were allowed to rejoin the group. Kathy was lead singer for a reason.

I saw a "Sister Sledge Live - featuring Kathy Sledge" 2023 video. I do not recall seeing Debbie in the video. I thought I recognized 2 next generation Sledge family members performing with her as background. Kathy was singing Sister Sledge songs. So perhaps there is some level of reconciliation.

Shame ABSOLUTELY NOTHING as final as death... Time to get back together girls.. Time ain't on your side....😢

PLEASE MS DEBBIE, BURY THE HATCHET WITH YOUR SISTERS. LIFE IS SO SHORT, AND IM SURE YOUR MOM WOULD LIKE FOR YOU GIRLS TO STICK IT OUT. ITS SO SAD THAT LIFES PROBLEMS GET IN THE WAY WITH SO MANY GIRL GROUPS. YOU SISTERS WOULD BE SO MUCH MORE POWERFUL IF YOU ALL WERE TOGATHER. BY THE WAY ITS NOT THE SAME WITHOUT KATHY AND KIM. Debbie has become selfish and solely wants to cash in on the brand for herself and her own children. It's greed. It's disrespectful. At the end of the day WE ALL KNOW That this new Sister Sledge isn't Sister Sledge whatsoever. At this point none of the sisters should be able to use the name SISTER SLEDGE legally if not all three remaining original members are performing together on the same stage. It should just be KATHY SLEDGE from Sister Sledge or Debbie Sledge from Sister Sledge or Kim Sledge from Sister Sledge. At this point what Kim and Kathy should do is ask their sister Carol to all three rejoin them, reunit for a Farewell World Tour WITHOUT Debbie (and see how it feels). If the other sisters can't use SISTER SLEDGE , Debbie shouldn't be allowed to use it neither and be booked equally as Debbie Sledge from Sister Sledge!
