DEBATE: Bryan Johnson’s Anti-Aging Blueprint and the Ethics of Living Forever

‪@BryanJohnson‬ is a very smart, very rich, very well-meaning man who wants to live forever. That sounds like a terrible idea. This is one of the most interesting debates we've ever had.

    We don't agree on "don't die." "It is appointed unto man once to die." We see early on in the story of Genesis that with humanity's long life span, they began very wicked. God is saddened so deeply at the evils of humanity, and limits them to 120 years, and eventually is so sorry he made them that he floods the earth. Death is just a consequence of our own evil. It is a necessity. The only way to the new life that Christ offers is through death and resurrection on the last day. God bless!

    Tucker if you are interested in Jesus and whether he really exists. I recommend watching a great video on You Tube called Woman Photographs Jesus outside plane. You will find an older gentleman narrating the quick story. You will also find the picture of Jesus he puts up on an older projector screen will or should answer any questions as to whether Jesus exists or not. I got a hat photograph enhanced, and have it in my house. You are exactly right in saying without God there's no ultimate meaning in just a longer existence. A belief in something greater than ourselves is needed to cope with everyday life. God does exist, and many have seen Jesus.

    Because he isn't eating a healthy diet. He should be eating grass fed organic beef as the staple. There is a reasons it is called the "carnivore glow" and people on the carnivore diet always look healther. Same with Keto. Humans are not meant to be vegan. He lost all credibility if he is going by "science" that says veganism is healthy. He also should be getting at least an hour of sunlight a day to maximize vitamin D.

    Tucker, you always bring on the most thought provoking guests. I'm a career RN. I've seen all sides of life and death. I look at the simplicity of my ancestors lives. They lived, they loved, they sometimes suffered and they died. Relationships were close. Family was everything. I look at my family members who've always lived in a small town. Although their lives are much simpler and less opulent than my own, they have had lifelong connectuons. A sense of community and caring. Food has always been at the heart of each gathering. It was the extra guest at the table. A life of complete restrictionand denial is not a life fully lived. When you have peace within yourself and your God, you are ready to go when called. People fear the unknown. Death is unknown. I was happier 4 years ago when our lives in the US were more innocent. Like you, I'm saying no thank you. Just because you can, doesn't mean you should or that it's what's best for your life's path and lessons. We live not just for this life, but the next if you believe. By the way, I recently moved to a small town from a Chicago suburbs, in search of a simpler life. It's about your priorities.

    Bryan reminds me of Yuval Harari ("Humans are hackable animals!") of the World Economic Forum. He is a Technocrat with a completely mechanistic view of all things, including human beings. Having such a viewpoint permits men like Brian and Harari to escape the limitations of conscience possessed by decent human beings. In essence, it is psychopathy.

  • @OperaJH

    @OperaJH

    2 ай бұрын

    He does. You’re right. That thought struck me too. Harari though, is infinitesimally angry and is motivated by that and the utter hatred of humankind and more. This guy appears to be realistically facing what is happening right now and presents how he’s dealing with it. He doesn’t want to be swept away in this new tide of super intelligence. He seems reasonable, but it is impossible to morally exist without understanding or accepting that the tenets of human morals were given/taught to us by our Creator. Just because we’re entering a new phase of existence doesn’t mean we have to throw God out.

  • @Ewil.Bluetooth

    @Ewil.Bluetooth

    2 ай бұрын

    @@OperaJHYeah, start by using Jesus Christ's words instead of the old testament that he was sent here to update and refine. The old testaments God is essentially a master teaching a puppy how to behave to not be just another animal. When those teachings started to stick after generations. God sent his son to try and teach us how to be good and caring instead of egotistical. He tried with a hard hand first, then with a loving approach. They're clearly two different teaching's aside from the golden rule and the 10 commandments. Yet so called Christians refuse to acknowledge the distinct difference. I don't feel like writing everything here and now, but just the fact that we act like it wasn't the old testament "leaders" who killed Jesus ( rather sparing a criminal than let him live). That people claim that they love Jesus and follow his teaching's yet they spit in disgust at prostitutes and happily live according to the teachings of the bankers aka moneylenders. The exact same guys Jesus said without any ambiguity is evil and against what I teach. You who believe that every word in an English bible comes from God himself just can't bring yourself to admit that you're phoney's that love moneylending, and seem to love it equally much to let them rule the world with their system. You call yourself Christian and lovers of Jesus and yet you idolize guys like Shapiro even though that he openly and proudly hates Jesus and wants him to suffer in "hell" for eternity. He's not even coy about it. Why was Passion of the Christ a controversial movie? I have seen a lot of films that are controversial, but the Passion? It's not controversial. Be a hypocrite and hope that God forgives you for choosing to follow Jesus killer's instead of God himself. ....... for the love of God stop sending money to charlatan TV priests.
