Dont you want to run the new signal wire directly to the pump? Isnt the point to have the larger 12g wiring aswell? Are you essentially splicing 12g wiring into say 14 or even 16g depending on the factory wiring size?

Is this if your stock wires chassis can’t power your fuel pump?

Correct me if I am wrong but isnt the wiring kit supposed to wire directly to the pump some how and not splicing in to the factory wire on all the other wires beside the 12v wire?

Can hook this up to the fuel pump location directly instead of doing at the fuel pump controllers? Thanks

So the output of the fpc runs the relay? That bypasses its function essentially? Or does the ecm output run the relay and the power wire goes into input of fpc?

If I have a surge tank, does it affect the hardwiring of the kit? Or it’s done separately?

After installing this kit, dont know why idling 2000rpm and fuel pressure around 4 bar. I turned fuel pressure regulator to lowest and wont drop to 3 bar fuel pressure. Any idea?

To answer a lot of the questions here, understand what's happening. You're upgrading your small fuel pump wires with bigger wires. Doing so creates less resistance on the power supplied to the fuel pump. This allows your fuel pump easier volts when the fuel pump is working harder under boost/load. I doubt you would need to upgrade your fuel pressure regulator with this mod. That's exactly what your stock FPR is doing.

THank you so much for this video! Just got a 450 for an 06 STI and I had no idea how to wire this thing lol. I can turn wrenches real good not so much on the wiring :)

Hi I noticed you disconnected the connectors to the relay, so shouldn't the black wire which connects back to the relay connect to the longer wire instead of the yellow one? The yellow wire should go to the pump which should not be the connector connecting back to the relay? Or did I see wrongly?

Oh a mistake the yellow was not connected directly to the fuel pump, but through the power going into the fuel pump controller.

I understand where all wires go (Long red to battery +, long black to chassis ground, short yellow the fuel control red, short black to???) except the short black wire? What color wire did you tap it into.

I assume you are just running 100% dc all the time with no controller which is fine for quite a lot of hours on the walbro pumps. No big deal. Since you bypassed the stock fuel pump controller, I assume some adjustments were necessary in the tune for the duty cycle limits. Also you did not mention you should get an aftermarket fuel pressure regulator when hard wiring. If you get an aftermarket fuel pump controller it can extend the life of the pump and keep the fuel a bit cooler under normal driving conditions.

This is absolutely correct and an AFPR is highly recommended. At this stage in my build, my car did have an Aeromotive regulator. I have seen of a few builds without one, but I would not advise doing so.

4 wires... typically red, yellow , blue, black Red is your battery (fused) wire to relay... Black (from relay and from pump neg) is grounded to chasis Blue is your switch controller. it may be connected to your original pump positive wire. Yellow is the switched' power to pump.
