Me being 22 years old: struggles learning the chorus of the song with guitar. A random 16 years old metalhead in the woods: laughs in fretless bass. (¡Great cover btw!)
Props to Steve DiGiorgio to come with bass parts like this.

People should stop naming Cliff so much. There are clearly other beasts on this world that are far better players than him.

Those slides are so heavy, I love it when he does that
I love how you chose a setting that looks like the video. I also love how you put your own spin on it instead of playing it verbatim. 👏
This song literally has one of the coolest outro ever recorded on any song ever.
*standing ovation* sir, you are a monster!
I was 13 when I got the first Death album in 1988. Have been a lifelong Chuck Schuldiner and Death/Control Denied fan. It is so fkn COOL to see a young man paying him homage. Thank you keep it up. RIP Chuck RIP Sean Reinert. Great bass work!!

I first heard Death in 88 I was 10, still a huge fan. One of my top death metal bands
Молодец малой! респект! Скоро как ДиДжорДжио и даже лучше лабать научишься!!! Талант определенно есть! Крутой басила! 😉
Harley Benton bass! Good choice bro!
Похвально. Зачет
Brother , this is THE BEST COVER OF THIS SONG I'VE EVER HEARD!!. Holy shit man , the ending gives me chills everytime. Chuck would be proud
that slide at 3:25 gets me everytime, awesome cover!
Brilliant 😻
I was a 20-year-old playing fretless bass in death metal when this album came out. I felt so justified. 😂 Great cover, dude. Well done.
Brooooo you are the goat now I’m trying to play your version of this song
BADASS man!!
OMG, Hell Yes Brother !!!!! In the woods to boot, just like the original music video - got total chills here . Cue Beavis voice “ whoa what’s that kid from Jeremy doing in this video !!!??? “ Keep flying the banner of metal!!!
nailed it
incredible
Great job ..... I loved Human Individual, and symbolic In highschool.
he is my new favourite band!
Impressed 😮
Ubóstwiam Death. Kocham bezapelacyjnie. Takiego ognia, zrozumienia, wyczucia w coverze nie widziałem, uwierz mi. Zasługujesz co najmniej na miano nieślubnego syna Steve'a DiGiorgio. Wyśmienite.
Great attack on bass shape, great performance one of the most important things when you play. Congratulations 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
is learning fretless hard

Extremely difficult at first) It requires high precision and control. You slightly change the tilt of your finger and tuning floats away. It's noticeable in cover, I have been playing this toy for 3 weeks in total

It can be but if you have good hand technique on fretted bass it will take you far on a fretless. I’ve been playing fretless primarily since 2019 and I love it. But it is an adjustment for sure.
that was badass dude!!!
Cover by Lord of Bass
HOLY NON FRET METAL!!!! You just blew me away. Seriously, you inspired me big time with the video, angles, techniques, etc. I've fallen for fretless bass, and have sold most of my fretted basses to purchase fretless ones. Being a Metal freak, this just answered literally all of my questions. Thank you so much.
I've been looking up demos of this bass for a minute now, and this has sold me on it! Awesome cover!
Such a great fretless bass tone
super solid, love the gnarly tone, and the finger picking is aggressive as hell !
Perfect ! 🤘💀🤘🌲
It sounds really impeccable
Well done!
Круто Bro!
DUDE! Love everything! Your playing. Your intensity. Your technique. Kudos!
Очень круто сделано и отработано. Всяко респект. Ещë и на правильном фоне. Послушал бы с тобой Death.
Bro went to the middle of the woods to film this, so fucking metal \m/
Amazing!! Best kill sound 👍👏👏👏

SWEET! Good to see some fretless love - and Death? Even better!
It's awesome.
Solid playing and tone

Wow tu mano tiene tecnica bro tocas el bajo muy bien
Now all you need are roundwound strings lmao (amazing cover bro)
That's sounds awesome, man! Keep it up!
Really well done! Waiting for more fretless cover!
So fucking good man, pls don’t stop. You should definitely cover some of scream bloody gore !
Well done amazing cover sir
Welldone love this!

Very nice, bravo !

Your entire channel has helped me remind myself to stay humble Cuz I’m not actually that good
Impressive work, go on, bro

Nailed it.

Didnt know there was a bass solo going on the song great playing

Chills
Очень плотно, охуенный тон
nice bro
Hey they made me and all the other philosophy students into a song 😂
🤘🔥
Nice\m/
What a perfect cover. It has feeling, scenery, some serious punch and sounds great. If only more metal bands had fretless bass players. Can i ask, was it stock when you recorded this? Is it still? Thanks ❤
nice job mane meow gang 💃🏻🔪
Can fretless basses be used in metal? Yes, yes they can.
Firstly, amazing cover, really clean playing and love the energy. Secondly, you've made that Harley Benton sound huge, did you have to do much work to it? I had the same model but sold it to eventually upgrade because it was really low output and bassy sounding, yours growls really nicely
death metal
That is some of the punchiest sounding tone I've ever heard.
Nice tone dude! What strings do you play? I've just bought my first fretless and I cant decide between flatwound and roundwound ones
@Farewelltokingz

6 months late, flats will be better for smooth fretless tone. Rounds help bring out the mwah but can eat the fingerboard a bit depending on which ones you get. I recommend DR sunbeams because they are bright but smooth too.
Please tell me how you got that tone. I can't find an answer anywhere, and I've tried everything I could
Hello , I liked the video a lot , and I need your help , I got the same bass for my bday but when I play 1st-4th fret the strings rattle around and it sound awful. How do I fix this ?
hey man im willing to buy this bass do you recommend it?
is the bass stock?
I really dont get why fretless basses don't have an "fret" inlays to help play at a right spot, because in that case even beginner can play much easier

Even unlined fretless basses have the dots on the upper side of the fretboard, takes some time to get used to but at least you are not left completely in the dark :)
I think this dude stranded out in the wood yo
Dude you are just slamming this. Great sound and playing from a fellow fretless player.
