I have watched death note probably about 7-8 times. I know the story and half of the lines they are about to say. But still, for some reason, I am always drawn back to it. I can’t explain it, when I think about watching shows on Netflix I always want to watch death note. It is still a show that I think about everyday and I feel sad when I realize I will never get to watch it for the first time again :(. And there is no other show out there that is as interesting to me as death note. Death note just hits so much different.

He was just bored as hell and wanted to have a purpose other than being a bored teenager. He enjoyed the thrill of it and finally had something to keep him occupied

Death Note is something different

In my opinion Death Note is the greatest TV series ever made. A lot of credit goes to the manga of course (which the anime very faithfully adapts to an incredible degree) but the voice acting and music are also huge reasons why the anime is so good. Tracks like this one are a big reason why the series is so memorable and impactful. There are a lot of really good shows, and even some great ones, but none are truly on the level of Death Note and what it achieved in only 37 twenty-minute episodes in not even two years. A masterpiece that will never be surpassed.

I think I fell in love with this anime and always wished I'd lose my memory watching it again

Death Note's initial half and the ending stick with me. I always wondered what the hype was, and so I read through all the chapters and wow... it was special. Probably the first time Jump chose not to rely on the typical battle manga formula, and it was a massive success. Death Note paved the way for so many series' survival in the magazine, as unique ideas. Takeshi Obata and Tsugumi Ohba are gods of manga, no doubt. Death Note, Bakuman, and now Platinum End. Those two never fail when they work together, and Death Note was only the beginning. Death Note and Bakuman alone are two of the greatest reading experiences I've ever had.

Death note captured a special part of my consciousness that i still don't honestly understand, i find myself coming back and listening to the soundtrack when reality sets in neither sad or happy.
