From my interpretation about the last part for those who are confused Light erased his memories to make it seem like his reactions are genuine to make it look like he honestly didn't knew about the tnt and that he couldn't have possible have been the one who set it up since L didn't saw light watching redstone tutorials because it was hidden in the potato chips Which means in L's mind someone else did this and not light hence he asked for the server to shutdown because he thought the server has been compromised by someone else

The idea that this was all a massive 5D chess game with the intent of making L delete his servers and have to restart his entire investigation from scratch because he thought that his systems were compromised is such a Light thing to do.

I thought he had realised that there was no blacksmith house for the iron in the village, but the cleric caught me off guard as well.

Light claims to have no knowledge of Minecraft yet his skin is custom made. That would take a substantial knowledge of skin creation not to mention time. This means he must have been learning about Minecraft for a while. His lies were flawed from the start.

Creating a skin is actually easy. There are multiple custom web editors for skin creation and even if you didn't use them, it's still not that hard to download a skin template and edit it in a drawing program. The actual hard part of making a skin is pixel art, which doesn't require minecraft knowledge.

Light’s skin being formatted incorrectly (the black lines on the back and palms of his arms), unlike L’s, really adds the extra detail/evidence of him not knowing how to play minecraft and following L’s instructions.

This pretty much sums up dynamics of these two characters. Everytime L gets closer to Kira, Light just uses Death Note mechanics to cheat. L plays chess blindfold against Light. Which makes L more impressive to be honest.

Light starts as a literal teenager? L has millions of resources at his back. He snapped his fingers and brought the FBI, controls global intelligence agencies, built a skyscraper in the middle of Tokyo in months. In fact, L was so advantaged he was the one moving the plot forward, Light could barely do anything to get close to L, until Misa enters the story and then get arrested. This argument that Light had an advantage is shallow and dumb.

I love how he could say “some green thing under a tree dropped this after I attacked it” since zombies drop iron at a 2.5% chance after dying

Making something with a ridiculous premise both dramatic and funny is incredible. I genuinely was astounded by the actions they both took. Could of just reloaded the seed tho and seen that light was capping.

I like how Light recreates the Yotsuba Arc for a minute and a half just to gaurantee he wouldn't get caught, even though he probably wouldn't have been regardless

How tf did you perfectly capture that feeling of Death Note with Minecraft?? I was actually on the edge of my seat thinking "surely there's no way he's gonna get out of this one" just like with the show.

This skit used so many references from the actual shoe it will blow your mind when you actually see them play out. It's a good watch.

I don’t even watch death note, but GAHDAM this was good. I’m glad I clicked on this because the part in the middle where light realises that he accidentally spawned a cleric without a brewing stand but perfectly covering it up afterwards felt like an anime moment. Great job jj.

I think an interesting way to go that route is if Light brought an okay deck to pretend he wasn't very experienced at the game, and L tries to make him slip by testing his knowledge of things like chains, spell speed, hand traps, etc. If Light brought a deck like Swordsoul to justify being a beginner (Swordsoul is the most commonly recommended deck for beginners), L could challenge that after seeing Light do a combo that one could only do after much practice. There's some potential here.

L wasn’t playing Minecraft. He was playin chess 😂 ♟ The classic Kira laugh 😂

I love how giving up the Death Note basically had no effect on anything in or out of the game. He set off a trap that obviously only he could have made, immediately ruining his argument that he didn't know anything about Minecraft, and Ryuk was still there talking to him at the end while he laughed manically, which also shows that he kept all his memories. He just did it so he could fool L into thinking he was a little bit dumb for about a second lol

What do you mean? L has been watching Light religiously and the amount of red stone knowledge one would need for that trap is well beyond something Light could have learned under such scrutiny. Thus L comes to the only reasonable conclusion that someone else had done so and was responsible for all the tampering, thus why he says they are compromised and kills the server. Of course, L had not considered the power of the chip bag, as with it Light was able to stay one foot ahead of him

Honestly these videos are more well thought than Death Note itself. Yet it captures the fucking “NUH UH” bs that happens near the end it’s so fucking good.
