I prefer the original intro; as this one it brings you into the story, takes you out of it and brings you back in. I found it to be a little jarring.

Speed metal had to be one of all time best flash single issues. I hadn't felt so excited when reading a single issue in a long time and it was all thanks to Williamson's love for the flash in addition to Barrow's amazing art.

Only one thing missing... KRA-KA-KA-KOOM!

Honestly, the Blue and Silver suit is actually pretty awesome. Even if Wally goes back to "normal", I hope he keeps it. Barry the Scarlet Speedster and Wally the Navy streak.

Blue Blur* Navy's a way darker shade than most of Wally's costume. I do agree he should keep the costume, though.

Also Wally west getting his original costume was really awesome and made me so happy 😀 and I am hoping by the end of death metal Wally west gets to be the main flash again with his family irey west and Jai west by his side would be fantastic and tons of fun.

@@firesnakex8 I really hope that future doesn't happen for wally west because nothing would make sadder but to see my favorite Speedster Wally west get destroyed again because come on we just got him back why are we turning him into a villian again. However my hope is that future is a possible future and not the real deal for wally west but we shall see.

@@TevyaSmolka for now its not canon but my fear is that with the popularity of some characters it may slowly become canon. Just in general the future is ruthless to all the flashes. Literally Bart got impaled in the head in the recent preview for the first issue of flash future state

@@WallyWestEXE Nah actual kids making up the story it's not a good storyline. If you'd read Black Hole, Watchmen, or almost anything written by Alan Moore or old school Frank Miller you'd see the difference between a good storyline and gimmicky garbage.

Not really. The last full reboot was in 1956. There were soft reboots in 1986 and 2012. And that's about it. Convergence/Rebirth didn't reboot anything, it just restored some aspects of the old universe, Zero Hour only restored the multiverse to existence. Individual stories/universes outside of the main continuity have been retconned and rebooted a few times, but not the primary universe.

I don’t like the way the power of Dr. Manhattan is portrayed in this series. It’s looked on as just a tool like any other power. The thing that made John Osterman Dr. Manhattan was that the power changed him over time, not the other way around. That power didn’t affect Wally or Bruce in nearly the same way. It’s just a DBZ style power up for them. Being able to see across time is supposed to unmoore your basic human perspective and change you as you realize that you are little more than a puppet with godlike power whose every action is predetermined.

This is why I gave up on reading comic books after Stan (the man) Lee died. Marvel, DC, Image, Dark Horse and others, they use the same characters. Just slap on a new (?) coat of paint.

There are parts I absolutely love and parts that make me groan. I like most of the character redesigns, even if I'm not fond of how they're used (come on, you can't tell me that Clark, Diana, and Bruce don't look awesome) I do think it's gotten a bit overused, really should have ended with Dark Knights: Metal, or at least have focused on more of the Dark Multiverse than just alternate Batmen. Event fatigue is really setting in, and Batman fatigue is setting in even harder.

Meh, they abused the laughs and metal thing so much along with constant reboots in the forms of crisis events. The world needed hope stories like Rebirth not another reboot after loads of awful stories abusing a Batman concept.

Love speed metal the first one was meh 😑

Other than the New Gods/Dardseid/Brainiac... DC does not do cosmic events well. Legion of Superheroes has been all over the place for decades; Green Lantern also got stupid when it started introducing all the other colors. The idea that the Earth is the center point for the existence of the entire multiverse is just way too much. Current crises are just too convoluted. Hate to say this, but make mine Marvel
