I want to see a super growled death metal song with like super hard distortion but the subject matter is about going to the beach and surfing brutally

In styles like rock and metal it's simply an integral part of your sound to use an overdrive or distortion, pretty much in the same way that you'll use a bridge humbucker. The riffs sound just as wicked clean, but you could do them more justice by playing them on an acoustic guitar. That'll give you some of that punch back.
