I like whole Death discography. But srarting from Human album I love all of them. I still remember, I bought Individual Thoughts Patterns when it came out, same day it was available in shops and exactly in my birthday :) It was realy hot summer day and I was sitting on the bench in a park listening it for the first time. I remember I noticed then - oh my God! This guy is playing exactly like King Diamond guitarist! At that point I had no idea that it was same person :)

The appropriate reaction to listening to this for the first time is laughing in amazement like you did :) The first time I heard this song was 30 years ago, the day it came out, in a Del Taco drive thru, high as fuck. Couldn't believe that intro riff. Pretty much says it all that I still remember where I was the first time.

Gene Holgan and Steve DiGiorgio are the best rhythm section Death ever had, maybe Richard Christie is a better drummer but Steve and Gene work really well together

'Human' is my fav Death album 😅; the discography is absolutely solid, there are no weak points, even the least appreciated is an excellent work... they are considered the best death metal band for a reason, you know. Although if we talk about taste, I prefer to listen to more extreme and technical death metal (Suffocation, Gorguts, Cryptopsy, Nile), and not so progressive. If you like the more 'progressive' side of death metal, I recommend bands like Atheist or Cynic. beautiful reaction from you Deyana, as usual , have a nice week 😊

One of my favourite prog-death albums. And the fact that this is one of the albums that originated the genre makes it only better. I absolutely love drums and bass and dislike remastered edition for pushing it back - guitars and vocals have enough space in the original mix, showcasing often overshadowed instruments is what (contributes) to making this original album one of the greatest.
