A 4 wheel gorilla cart is a lifesaver in that terrain. They are tough, durable, affordable and cone in variety of types and sizes. Good for a hundred tasks on the homestead and worth every penny (and my back!)…Having lost a healthy friend out of the blue this month, I cherish this that a friend shared, “may his death remind you to live”-so simple, but so helpful for me. So sorry to hear this. I lost my husband exactly to the day 2 months and two days after we were married on the beach in Maine. Life hasn't been easier since. The loss of people we love is greater than those who have gone before us. I know he's where he was meant to be in his own season. But while the rest of us wait for that time, we miss them so very deeply.

After dealing with a 1 wheel, wheelbarrow, I finally bought a 2 wheeled one instead. So much easier to use and much less likely to flip over.

laying down gravel then pressing down heated tar is how they create city streets, but in your wooded area, I think gravel will probably do the trick, if you can find a bunch of them to lay down in the muddy area. It's a way for you to build your own little path/road for transporting the heavy rocks with the wheel barrel easily.

Happy birthday Ally, so sorry for the loss of your dear friend. Wanted to give you a hint on raising garlic. Garlic is a heavy feeder and you need to wait until the leaves begin to turn yellow and fall over before pulling it, it grows a good bit toward the end of the season.
