Just a metal head with a violin, heavy strings and an oktave pedal. Being so old of a video i would love to hear where you are at now on violin. You are amazing at this rekording. I love how Death's music can sound just as beautiful when played on classical instruments. Chuck's composing was damn impeccable.

Sounds straight up sad and depressing... Beautiful....

It certainly does. Can you imagine hearing this played by a full symphony orchestra? Chick was absolutely brilliant. One thing I like about his writing is that you can totally listen to him grown and learn as both a player and writer when you go through his entire catalog. Listen to 'Scream Bloody Gore' and go right through to 'Sound of Perseverance"...and you will hear him mature into a brilliant writer and player. I consider 'Human' to be the point where he totally hit his stride and became brilliant..and where he cemented his legacy as being 'THE man'..the best. But there are flashes of that brilliance in 'Spiritual Healing'. The guy was absolutely incredible. There are very few musicians that I hold in the high regard that I do with Chuck.

Funny thing, Chuck actually used to collect old violins. Great version of this song beside, love hearing metal played on instruments different than just guitar/bass/drums.

inspirational. and it shows how complex the work of chuck schuldiner was instead of just being noisy metal he put a lot of work into his composition

Chuck was a Genius I always thought that what Death was creating was a symphony played by a Metal Band also if you listen to this its based on Hebrew way of playing (that is fantasticly magnified Because of Violin) thumbs up

It's true, that's the reason Death it isn't easy to play at all. Can you imagine a big Symphonic playing all Death songs? Chuck would be so proud. Genius of the twenty century.

The transition from high to low in the "is that how it's done" section sounds hauntingly good on violin.

Remembering that's just ONE violin. Imagine that with an orchestra...

So fucking brutal.

I actually logged into, which I never do, to say this was absolutely awesome, even inspirational. I loved it. It really sounds beautiful the way you play it. Love it man. You should take pride in your ability to play a classic instrument like that.

Absolutely brilliant. I have been saying for the last 2.5 decades (as long as I have been proficient on guitar) that skilled/virtuoso metal and prog metal guitar players are the closest musicianship-wise to symphony orchestra/classical players. The top metal players are phenomenal musicians. To someone who didn't know that this was a Chuck Schuldiner, Death song, would totally think and believe that this was a piece specifically written for a symphony. From Human (and even a lot of Spiritual Healing) onward, the stuff Chuck came up with and wrote was absolutely brilliant.

This is one of the best thing I ever heard...

Funny thing that I've done this. People always ask me what music I'm into. Death always come to my mind, but I always sent first the cover of Without Judgement of Silenzium and then the actual song. It always get em haha
