The reason Scooby didn't destroy the Black Matter Meteor is probably that he couldn't, since he didn't do it during the canon crossover, which implies that the meteor is too durable for either of them to destroy.

The thing is the meteor basically is chaos given physical form, think of like a pizza, ya can’t rip it apart and put the ingredients back in the fridge , any attempt to destroy the meteor would go against the meteors very essence and be canceled out , so ya can’t take it out of the battle because that would remove its aspect of chaos which can’t happen so the sparkly rock remains in play

With all do respect. The Scooby in that crossover couldn’t destory it because the only feats is has are what’s shown in that movie. Scooby Doo is a canon multi verse where all the shows and most of the movies are separate canon. So this Scooby is entirely different and does not possess the same ability’s or power other Scooby doos might Could he destory it? I personally have no doubts. All he’d need to do is just take it out of his hands and seal him in it though But because of imagination creation he could just make another one regardless so that doesn’t matter… Yay, we avoided dog murder

Should probably mention that Courage could destroy the chest of demons too so its a moot point (Plus Courage can create objects out of thin air-there's an argument to be made that Courage could just produce another Dark Matter Meteor)

@BiffWeed Thanks! Long story short, it was from a fan project known as ClayFighter ReSculpted, which was hit with a C&D. Luis was a part of that development team and had the models of every character beforehand and wanted to include the snowman as a cameo. It was adjusted to not resemble Bad Mr. Frosty, and as a joke, we named him "Angry Ass Snowman". Good news is that we're currently developing a whole new original IP out of the same idea and style, for all your claymation needs! Who knows, maybe that will show up in the future of Death Battle as well? Or vice versa? Who knows!

I can’t remember the last time an episode had me dying of laughing this consistently. What a fucking phenomenal episode and what a debut for Max. What the peak indeed.

"Forever Terror Night" is one of my favorite tracks of the season! Not only does it seem like an obvious reference to "It's Terror Time Again", but it sounds like something the Hex Girls would perform. Could you tell that I have a Scooby Doo bias?

Another things about the animation I wanna point out is that Eustace being the monster actually makes a lot of sense. Earlier in the fight, like any scooby doo villain, there's clues and foreshadowing towards Eustace being the monster, notably right before the reveal when he does the funny ooga booga booga, a common oine of hos that actually sounds like him. On top of that, the monster's mask looks like Eustace's iconic one amd uses Eustace's hammer at the start of the fight. Plus, knowing Eustace's general character (he's greedy af) and the motives for a lot of scooby villains, Eustace would fit in perfectly amongst the roster of baddies. Also side note, I like how the monster is made in I believe claymation like a good number of Courage's creatures while still being a bit comical and, y'know, just some guy we know about from earlier in the episode like a lot of Scooby villains, it's loyal to both series and that's cool. Oh and the opening shot of the mansion with tbe bats references the Scooby Doo Where Are You intro that's pretty cool anyways byyye

I Can't Decide on whether or not Bill vs Discord or Scooby vs Courage should be my Favorite Episode this season.

Also just wanna say this is my new fav episode of DB HANDS DOWN. Like i have not gone back and re-watched an episode like i have with this one in YEARS. Props to ur friend, he deserves a raise and its only his first video!

9:06 I’m happy to explain (like I’m sure 20 other people already have but hey better late then never) Hammer space and imagination creation insures even if courage doesn’t have the meteor. He could just create or pull out a new one That part however admittedly ignores that the box turns off your powers and only objects work inside, but hey this episode avoided dog murder and I’m not complaining

I'm just absolutely blown away that an episode like this was so goddamn good, and then the next one will most likely be even crazier, because not only are they tasked with analyzing doctor who, but it is a SECOND hand drawn fight in a row, this season has been insane. While I still think martian manhunter VS silver surfer is my favorite of the season so far, and that probably won't change unless they do like killer croc vs lizard or some other one that I personally want like Beast vs Rhinox, but it's pretty close.

This episode has marked twice this season of me rethinking my top 5 it was that good! Props to Max for getting to work on two of his most wanted. If this was anything to go by, Rick vs The Doctor is gonna be a blast.

Assuming the meteor could be destroyed. (Although it’s hard to say. Scooby would probably have to erase the concept of chaos itself to get rid of the meteor as that’s what gives it a physical form.) Courage could always bring fourth a new meteor through his imagination or just imagine an escape if he’s ever trapped in the chest. He could duplicate himself or leave a limb behind and open himself out of the chest as Scooby and Shaggy were tricked into opening the chest in the first place which didn’t require anything special, just a simple lift up. They concluded that both their stats were equalized so any arguments that one could use the other item against the other works both ways. the items aren’t specially tied or bonded to either of them making it more unlikely that one has the higher chance to do so before the other. Also it should be noted that when that Alien made earth reverse in time thousands of years everyone was effected except Courage, so while his surroundings will change he won’t and will still be aware of what’s going on. Further drives home the results of their genuine conclusion that this would go on forever.

This episode is one of my favorites of death battle as a whole. Forever terror night was awesome, the analysis’s were great, and the fight and voice actors were phenomenal. I hope the same team does something like Donald vs Daffy in the future cause they’d be perfect for the death battle.

This season isn't even over and it's already my favorite in all of Death Battle because we've had not one but two of the best episodes in the entire series coming out only two months apart. 11/10, These next two days waiting for Rick vs Doctor are gonna be the longest two days of my life.

This fight was awesome I had no idea Scooby was a medium toon force user like Courage

I practically lived off CartoonNetwork as a kid, and both Scooby-Doo and Courage are two of my favorites. I even like the crossover movie, even if it does continue the recent trend of SD movies rationalizing the mysteries of Zombie Island and 13 Ghosts for no reason. Bill vs Discord was my favorite of this season, but admittedly due the bias of featuring two shows I have watched and loved as opposed to just one, Scooby vs Courage has surpassed it. Saitama vs Popeye is still my favorite overall, but this is a very, VERY close second.

Like said before, they keep making bangers this season. And everytime you think it can't get better this season and there will be an meh filler episode in between, another great one shows up Even the "worst" ones i still do like this season, and there are multiple new favorites like this one

Excellent battle and yeah is the 2nd best of the season so far i dont really see anything topping discord vs bill except the season finale and that is a big if, also since the crossover is canon that means that courage and the other talking animals of his series are aliens too

Well for the Dark Matter Meteor we don't have any Idea how to Destroy it, and since Scooby Couldn't in the Cross over, why now, all his feats couldn't end Courage and the Meteor likely more durable so the Scooby couldn't win with the Chest, also both can rewind time so they can undo any damage to weapons and gear.

Scooby didn’t because I feel like he couldn’t. Plus if Courage is faster, he’d dodge any meteor attacks, especially as he essentially has the infinity gauntlet. Also, with the quality of these episodes, the last could be stinkers and it still would be an awesome season

cant wait to see his summary of the rest of season 10. we thought season 9 was a stacked roster, but season 10 is unbelievable

This matchup is not only special for bringing two of my favorite cartoon characters that defined my childhood but it also had the benefit of releasing on my birthday. The team really knocked it out of the park with this episode and I am definitely looking forward to the next one.

After this episode season 10 might be on track to beat season 8 to be my new favorite season. If doctor vs Rick is as good as this it might be

Forever Terror Night is the first DB track that Ive ever listened to literally 24/7. Its so amazing

I wonder what Season 11 episode will get the special artwork treatment that both Black Adam VS Apocalypse Marvel Comics X-Men and this episode received. Also, I think the outcry from Danny VS Jake and Steven VS Star from a few years back that the Cartoon matchups of SpongeBob VS Aquaman, Bill VS Discord, and this one so how much more they are needed compared to anime episodes. (Seriously, we NEED more Cartoon-themed matchups). I hope in the next 5 years, the DEATH BATTLE! animation team, IF Luis is still working with them until then that they pull a 3rd take to be as amazing as Jack vs. Afro. (Also, I gave Goomba vs. Koopa some slack of being a draw, since the ending WAS intentionally anti-climatic. And I can believe the 'Goomba's stupidity and Koopa's cowardice' argument in pretty agreeable.) I cannot wait for the Jukem-FGC-Pokken-World-Champion-2018-Lightning-Round to be done properly... probably around early 2024. Until then, keep your Non-DEATH BATTLE! video station strong.

I feel like even if scoobert could destroy the dark matter meteor courage could also destroy the chest of demons it's an argument that goes both ways but even then I don't think either of them could destroy it since the objects are portrayed as superior to themselves so it's unlikely that without the dark matter meteor courage would be able to destroy the chest and vise versa Hopefully that cleared that up a little

The episode is amazing but billcord exists and became my second favorite db ever only behind the one where my favorite fictional character appeared and won. TLDR this episode is great and I don’t know if I prefer it over stitch vs rocket.

My one complaint with the fight is that Courage's scream that breaks Scooby Wizen comes out too quickly. The music just came back and needed just a few more seconds of buildup before the scream can cut it out

The line “or my name isn’t chad James” is wrong the line is supposed to be “or my name is”, that’s the biggest issue with the ep. That should say a lot about it’s quality Well ig the Columbo “reference” might be worse.

It's good you didn't grow up on Courage, because there's an episode where Muriel and Eustace get paper cuts on an overdue library book and turn into the monsters from the story! Don't want that happening to you, Biff.

Scoob and Shag (from webtoon) really nerfed them.

This episode realy is my "I Did not care for the godfather moument" i cant really explain why, but i really disliked thisbepisode while watcing it and even on rewarches. That being said, seeing how much people enjoyed it does make me happy as this is a fun match.

No offense to Kanernmeadow but that Scooby-Doo art in the thumbnail genuinely looks disturbing to me.
