I love this commander. I built my first commander deck with her at the head of it. It's a ton of fun.

This was how I built my Ayara. Just ETBs of multiple black creatures. And top it off with a Nim Deathmantle+Ashnods Altar combo along with her one card combo: Plague of Vermin

I opened her in my first box and I fell in love with it. She has become my pet deck .

I love this commander. Thank u so much for good budget cards to include 🥰😍

Thanks for this, I’m planning on running a similar build for Alesha, as I opened Elas in my prerelease kit.

Commander Legends: Battle for Baldur's Gate $0.49

I love how this deck is almost identical to my Ayli the eternal pilgrim deck. I mean aside from a few exceptions like a couple tutors it actually is the same. In fact I could probably take out something and put this commander into my 99 and use it every once in awhile as a secret Commander to throw people off. I think I have like 6 of them after a set box. I don't know if this guy is very interesting addition to the deck but having the option to have these abilities on a commander is undoubtedly powerful and absolutely rounds out the archetype.

some amazing budget cards you might consider: Shadows of the Past: sac outlets are removal magnets in this deck. Running an enchantment that filters cards for just 2 mana is amazing. Nightmare Shepherd: double up ETBs on all non-token creatures, as well as LTBs is just game-winning with a sac outlet in play.

@@silentmayan5427 it's a tough build but surprisingly efficient. I use a sub theme of extort and a little control with blind obedience and such to kind of slow down the pace. Also inkshield and blot out the sky are mvps

@@michaeljaubert1325 inkshield is so freaking good. "Oh I'm gonna take take 10 damage? Sike I'm gonna a gain 10 life and put 20 flying power on my field." Then all those creatures are garunteed damage. They get board wiped and they still do damage. I haven't gotten blot out the sky yet, but have you tried Plague of Vermin? 6 and a black for a sorcery that reads "starting with you each player may bid any amount of life. Bidding continues until no one bids any life. Each player adds a number of 1/1 rats equal to the amount of life they payed." If you leave yourself with just enough life that you can't be bolted with the first life gain trigger on the stack and you create something like 30 rats and gain all your life back. With that many creatures you've won the game.

@@michaeljaubert1325 another thing is what do you think about creatures with discard effects versus creatures with draw effects? So cards like Virus Beetle versus dusk legion zealot. Cause I'm of the mindset that getting my opponents to discard a card might be better than me drawing a card.

@@silentmayan5427 it's so hard to keep opponents hands down in this format and not putting a bull's-eye on yourself. Drawing cards especially with the low CMC of the deck is really good without making your look more threatening.

I would build it around finding and sticking leonin Relic warder with an animate dead effect w/ the commander in play

Gonna build this commander with shadowborne apostles. Similar to athreos

Easy turn one win. Jeweled lotus. 1 swamp and a mana crypt to phrexian alter and of course gravecrawler

You need a zombie out to play gravecrawler from the graveyard!

I wanted to make this deck but I tried to challenge myself so I added Lurrus the den dreamer companion to make it more challenging!

Just watched this yesterday, opened a pack and got this commander today!!

Been Thinking of throwing this in my athreos apostle deck

Can you please do a "Break the Bank" on this for commander?

Pitiless plunderer will greatly accelerate your games of you can tutor for it.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Exquisite Blood. That should be the golden pig in my opinion as it creates an infinite damage loop with more than one of the other cards you mentioned. Enjoy! 😁

Because exquisite blood is more expensive than the entire deck mitch has built. Remember, its a budget deck tech.

@@Numbabu seriously! I gave some of my old cards to the kids at my school and one dad came in and asked why I gave them such costly cards. I remembered them as junk and didn't know they were now good and expensive! Heck I had 30 lotus petal because back then people hated them and they were junk. I liked them so everyone gave them to me. How the heck are they $36?!?

I have a Elas, with lurrus companion, aristocrats deck and it's really slow ATM.

I’m surprised this deck didn’t run Ratadrabik or Orah, though i personally dont know the price of the two, but using orah to get Elas back and getting a copy of Elas each time you sack her is super useful especially with a free sack outlet

Is there ever footage of him playing these decks? Id like to see gameplay on them.

I started building around this commander as soon as I pulled it in the prerelease event. I nearly wiped out several players with a marionette master when another player dropped Descend into Avernus. I should move sunbond into the deck to slip onto marionette master to pump the instant kill methods by sacrificing artifacts.

Elas does very fun things with Blade of Selves. Give Elas the Myriad ability and a token doubler and you basically win games on the swing. The new white god creature that tripples token creation and it IS a win the game when you swing.

I’d like to see a build for Arcanis, the Omnipotent

I built my own deck with this commander ❤. A great card to add is storm herd and deploy to the front

Plague of vermin is busted with this commander

I have a deck with this commander but I also use Lurrus as a companion, I've really enjoyed building around the companion restriction

Can't wait to build this with Kaya Intangible im ob format as kor cleric tribal. Currently foiling out Koros Equipment with Nahiri Compleated

I pulled two of this guy and asked was he good. I heard stories...Now I'm going to build it.

I built mine with Lurrus as companion!

If you're able to splurge this deck could use my favorite infinite combo: Cliffhaven Vampire + Exquisite blood.

13:25 each oppenent would actually lose 14 life, 40/3 does equal 13.3 but dire fleet ravager says to round up

Ayara first of Locthwain would go great with this deck

Spawnsire of Ulamog is a high cmc, but is a good add, because it can make a LOT of 0/1’s that can self sac to make mana for more 0/1’s

I also built Elas with Lurras as a companion. I honestly love it and it's my first companion deck. LURRUS does WORK!! I may want to make a lurrus deck now.

Upgrade combo: grave crawler, carnival of souls, sac outlet like ashnod's altar (with another zombie in play).

Paul Blartist, Blood Artist

It's a budget friendly build but exquisite blood is down to around 20 I think.

I recommend upgrading with Thornbite staff in combo with Whisper, Blood Liturgist, go infinite !

She’s a 99 in my Teysa Karlov deck.

Can you have a background in this deck technically because I thought the commander needed to have choose a background

To me, blade of selves looks like a must have with this commander. It gives equipped creature myriad. So due to mass etb and death triggers (assuming 2 opponents) And assuming your commander is having tokens made out of it, you will gain 7 life and each opponent will lose 7 life. Off 1 attack trigger.

The tokens must be sacrificed or destoyed for the death triggers to happen. They are exiled with the myriad rule. But if you can kill them before they gets exiled you will get the value 🙂

Also it's a really cheap card. So realistically, you could get that combo going on turn 3 or 4 at the latest

Auramancer and kaya ghostform and a sac outlet and infinite loop

I really want a "lose your friends" deck that is stall with no win condition, not by bringing the game to a draw, but just not losing lol (win via highest life total makes people mad lol)

Oloro All Removal. Oloro keeps ticking up your life total, while every card is removal of some sort to keep your opponents from winning. I actually have a deck like that, but it wins through a number of large creatures with flying (Angel of Despair, Angel of the Dire Hour, Ashen Rider, Steel Hellkite, etc.). If you wanted to replace them with more board wipes, it would do what you're asking for.

I made a deck based on this vid and it won 2 out of 3 games today, with 1 life to spare

Also the new wh40k commander deck has a lot of support for this deck.

This deck is currently $121 BUT it’s pretty powerful.

Just recommended this guy to a guy with aristocrats deck but he didn't like it

cruel celebrant is a big miss. it doubles elas and is cheap. would probably use it over direfleet as doubling drain is a much better finisher than losing a third of life.

While I love this deck, a lot of these cards were never under $1

if play life gain\take Debt to the Debtless is a must won so many game out of nowhere with this an a sack out for mana

this guy plus Ratadrabik makes for a horrendous commander pair. swap out one for the other, add Lurrus to recur smaller creatures, and it's MEAN

Sac Elas and make a zombie copy. Play him with lurrus. Have two elas. Sac lurrus make a zombie copy. Sac elas and make another zombie copy. Play elas again with zombie copy lurrus. Have 3 elas. Include a way to recur the original lurrus and you can keep goin.
