Real Madrid legend Toni Kroos has announced on his social media that he will retire after the upcoming UEFA Euro, which will be played this summer. Therefore, his last game for Real Madrid will be the Champions League Final against Borussia Dortmund.
As he always said he'd do, Kroos will leave at the top. The 2023-24 season has been one of his best campaigns as a player and he has plenty of fuel left in the tank to think that he could be a very relevant player and undisputed starter for Real Madrid next year.
Still, Kroos' decision is a very mature one. It's clear that leaving the game while still on top was a priority for him and that means that Real Madrid fans will not get to see his decline.
Kroos is not only one of the best midfielders in club history, but also one of the best in the history of the sport. A truly transcendent player.

Trent Alexandr Arnold if he moves to midfield. We have already seen what he can do from right back . Arnold is the closest thing to David Beckham in terms of pinpoint crossing .

I’ve been a real madrid fan for the past 17 years and i’ve never seen a player fitter than Toni Kroos . I remember that he just missed a month of football bcs of heel injury , other than that i just can’t remember any injury ❤❤🙌🏻
he was blissful to watch. even though I started watching football in 2017, I learned about all the footballing terms and proper knowledge of it by the 2018 World Cup. Toni's free-kick against Sweden will always play in front of my eyes and since then I haven't missed watching his play at least I would watch the highlights of his game. He will be exceptional, he is a legend. i don't know player who controls the game like he does i didn't see any player with such composure in passing and maintaining that accuracy is just phenomenal. His retirement post is really shocking as we are all prepared for Luka but not him. I really wish him to win the euros and complete the football, he deserves it more than anyone now. The midfield command which was there through Toni cannot be ever replaced or replicated with the flair of the upcoming midfielders which Real Madrid has.
