Absolutely yes! Gorgeous tone and absolutely killer, tasteful playing. My first thought was "i want to hear more of this." And "he's been practising!" I think Lee was channelling his inner Pink Floyd

Here's a video idea: chappers and the captain pick a gigging rig strictly from the second hand section. Everything they pick from guitars to amps to pedals must be second hand...with a set budget. Cheers!

For what it's worth, I love these "mucking about in the store and then demoing" videos. And Santa brought me a Jettenuator for my Hughes and Kettner Switchblade. Which was nice of him.

Yeah, love these videos :) Would love them even more though if they would check out less known brands more. I get that Fender, Gibson, PRS and Chapman are great but it gets a bit boring for me when there aren't much other brands featured. But that's just me always looking for new non-mainstream guitars to GAS at :P

Lee's playing around the 26:00 mark was incredibly wonderful. Loved the tone and the delay. Seriously underrated guitar player in my opinion. If he dropped a solo album, I would pick it up.

I got a bit of a christmas shocker.... My Better Half managed to pull it off with no suspicion of anything from me..! She decided that I was in need of a '69 Gibbo SG and a Marshall DSL 40. She just put the SG on the wall with the other toys and the Marshall beside my JTM & 4x12, put my Vox in front of it, and waited to see how long it would take for me to notice them.... I will NOT admit to the elapsed time before I noticed, but can say that this was the best ever...!!!!!! Happy Holidays to the Anderton's Families...!

Actually that's why he chose the Tele this year... he owns too many Humbucker guitars as it is.

Those lessons with Danish Pete are paying off for the Captain his soloing is so bad ass in this

I don’t care about the naysayers, Rob and Lee NEVER CHANGE (also I missed these walking around videos!)

I would just like to thank Mr. Chapman and the Captain , you have been a huge inspiration for me, I started watching your videos 2 years ago and its the best content i have watched for quite a while now, both of ye have been massive inspirations for me to practise guitar often now and learn about the history behind equipment. @@phantomechelon3628 Well, he does. He uses it on Dogs and Run Like Hell. He had another one which he used in the early days. The one he used on Dogs and Run Like Hell is sunburst and modded by Seymour Duncan himself, while the early one is a white stock '50s.

I don't know why… but I really enjoy watching you two "shop".

Does not surprise me that chappers took that les paul, you could see how much he liked it when they reviewed it haha, was practically drooling over it

Just want to give a shout-out of #Kudos @Rory and whoever else is in the post production. They rock as hard as Chappers! The fun they have doing it is obvious. And I enjoy every one. Thanks Rory! Don’t ever stop. Unless it doesn’t give you joy anymore, then stop.

@@saqibshabir9755 I'd call them metal...especially with Rabea's playing. They're just not extreme like a lot of modern bands. I'd put Dorje in the same bracket as Tool. Less experimental, but same general sub-genre.

I seen this vid like 50 times but Rob’s massive bend at 21:11 still gets me shook

Big Nashi yeah I didn’t get that either. Must be my age. He plays metal, to me anyway. Maybe ‘djent’ isn’t metal. I dunno. It is to me. Metal is glorious and it’s been my life. The need to create new sub-genres (alt-rock?!) is maybe an understandable desire not to be pigeonholed. But it’s metal. And that is A Good Thing.

Alt-rock has been a genre for 30 years... Soundgarden was alt-rock in the late 80s. Dorje isn't remotely metal, let alone djent. It's a bog standard alt-rock band in the SG/AIC/PJ/Audioslave/FFs mould.

That may be, but it is more a term that is thought up by marketeers. Like most of the terms are that are used to describe music. Sex Pistols, Foo Fighters, Sonic Youth, Nirvana and a lot more have all been called alt-rock. So let me ask you this: if Dorje is alt-rock to you, what is a prime example of a metal band to you?

A bit early, but Santa got me a 1992 Mesa Trem-O-Verb, #28 produced ever to be exact, and it is phenomenal... Thanks Santa, you are the best!

Dear Mr. Anderton, while I would dearly love to shop at your store, and someday I hope to pop in, I am on the other side of the planet.. (Portland Oregon USA, But hey, I brought Rob and Rabea a 6 pack of fine northwest beer when they came through here) Anyway, I got myself a nice Gibson Les Paul Studio in Alpine white with gold hardware. The only thing that would have made it more special, is if it came from your shop.

Guitarded And Broke Congratulations and Merry Christmas!

Rob chose an amazing setup, but man, the Captain's setup was absurdly great... I'm used to 15" speakers since i use the Fender Excelsior Pro, but i'd never heard of that Twin Reverb Custom 15, that was SWEET, and that Tele sounds AWESOME! i think i'm in love with it!... Really fun video guys! Keep them coming, and merry christmas to you all!

Got me a Boss Katana a couple of weeks ago from Cap and the gang. Really bloody good! Only amp I've ever used other than my Marshall DSL401 which is now 18yrs old. Ahhhhhhhh.

I want a Fender telecaster with body contours for the price of their standard model. I figure if Fender can’t do it for less than $1500, I might as well ask if Santa can. And a Boss Katana head. That’ll do, fat man. That’ll do.

Make a video where you just put together the most expensive rig POSSIBLE. Guitar, amp, od/distortion, delay, chorus, wah, tuner and one bonus pedal or something else thats just expensive. Also use the most expensive cables and picks. Also do a video with the same instructions but with the most ultimately cheapest rig possible!

Just maxed my Guitar Center credit card out yesterday buying a 2017 Fender Elite Stratocaster (3-Color Sunburst) - Rosewood board, also bought a Boss Katana 50 based off Anderton's and Chapper's review, also bought a Swollen Pickle Fuxx pedal, MXR Uni-Vibe, a Ditto Pedal, Ibanez Tube Screamer, and a strap! So stoked right now!!! Im so in love with this thing, the phone has been turned off for 2 days. For the family Christmas dinner, I'm bringing everything so I can avoid talking and just jam in the bonus room for 12 straight hours.

Oranges are generally glassy/fizzy a' la Marshall. They really teach you to use/dial your EQ in unconventional settings.

And Chappers, that octave fuzz tone set my underpants on fire son. Merry Christmas to you too!

Cheers to you. I feel the same way. FWIW if you have the resources buy the amp. I bought a Fender Super Reverb years ago when I was playing with people and thought that would continue. Has not been out of the house in years but every time I "downsize" to something else I end up going back to the Reverb. Was it expensive - Yes. Do i really need it - No. Can I get the sound that I love from it - Yes. Is it worth if from a joy/$ ratio aspect - It's one of the best investments i ever made. Merry Christmas, I hope you end up with the guitar and amp of your desires at some point.
