We do not know the real history. And the real intent of the persons who were under Islamic rule and were interacting with those kings. ​@@krisval6637 really? Where i live, mandirs dont provide any help to the poor. All the beggars and poor people eat at the gurudwara. When i was sitting inside a mandir due to outside being too hot to stand, the priests said to leave because they were closing. I said just 10 min. More and they started scolding me. Never has this once happened to me in gurudwara. We deserve praise and you are not someone to decide against that. And we are not a sect. Hinduism is not the only greatest religion okay.

Huge respect for Sikhs.. I have seen their food donation camps during rough times in India. And on the news in the international borders their helping nature towards the needy!! I truly enjoy watching them!!! In between once in lifetime do eat at langer. I went to Amritsar golden Temple. I was shocked with one of their service. At foot wear center. People are happily grabbing footwear of devotees and cleaning them with their hands.

I don't mean to disrespect anyone but we as a community need to come forward to provide food shelter to those who are needy soo that their life can also get better. Violence is rarely the answer, but when it is, it is the only answer.

The ultimate truth is that there are many ways to reach what christianity calls as god, hinduism calls brahman and sikhism calls waheguru. It is the same energy but different names. Fights in material world are generally maya induced but now they are induced by religious differences. We should just remeber to respect each religion and not try to prove our own religion as superior. Har har mahadev, waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh.

Can we address one thing from India Govt: Recognize Sikhs as a community in Indian Constitution. Recognize Sikhs Marriage"Anand Karaj" as legal sikh marriage act. Once we are recognized as Sikhs we can take next step.

And the letter Guru sahab wrote to Aurangzeb, is a brilliant piece of poetry, art, language and lesson in life. It was zafarnama. And the more interesting part of it is that it is in Persian language. The valour and courage that it brings is the epitome of officer like qualities one can inculcate. He was learned as well.

bro listen, i also dont want khalistan but the reason behind the demand of khalistan is injustice, disrespect.. 1) in 1947, due to political benefits a large state of punjab was divide nd given to pakistan, we all knw how big state was punjab in past.. also lakhs of sikhs nd othere community ppls were died during that separation 2) 1984, we all knw what govt did to sikhs in delhi nd some other states, nd rajiv gandhi said this words 'Jab bda ped(tree) girta to jameen to hilti hi h' 3) We all knw the crucial contribution of sikhs in indian army Even after so many things happened to sikhs in past, sikh ppl still served humanity, protecting others, serving langers nd doing lot more things to help everyone but a single word comes out from any individual abt khalistan then other communities telling them terrorists or khalistans nd forgot eveything what sikhs did for them 4) MSP rule is all against sikhs, nd sikh stood for there rights nd also for others bcz if that rule was applied to punjab then govt will start implementing the rules for other states but sikhs started campaign in delhi but beaten by not only police but delhi peoples also who were supporting govt. 5) Others states want benefits from us for example SYL(water supply) but still disrespect sikhs nd instead of asking, they are telling its their right they will take it anyhow.. 6) In other states, lots of politician nd babas telling on national television that they will make hindu rastra, disrespecting Mashjids nd showing inferiority still no action against them but if any sikh demand for khalsitan then they are terrorists.. It's good that you said it, I don't know if you are a Sikh or not but now listen to my point as a Hindu(part of sanatan dharma). 1.) We Sanatanis used to live happily from time unknown (centuries before other religions came into existence) and the place we lived was called akhand bharat and there are traces of it i.e you can see in news that various Shivlings being discovered in Babylon, ancient Mesopotamia, Ireland, Vietnam, Italy, Indonesia, Combodia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Srilanka, Tibet, Myanmar, Nepal, Malaysia, some parts of Africa and Gulf nations(whose carbon dating goes back to centuries) all i want to say is it was a vast kingdom but after time and treachery of others we were reduced to a small country. 2.) 440 million Hindus were killed, raped or convered by Islamic jihadis, 6.78 million hindus have been forcefully converted to Christianity and various genocides and massacres had been done on us i.e Bangladesh Genocide, Operation Searchlight, Expulsion of the Pandits from Kashmir, Persecution of Hindus by the Taliban, Series of Separate Anti-Hindu Campaigns carried out by the Mughals, Goa Inquisition, Rajouri Massacre, Malabar Rebellion, Calcutta Killings, Noakhali Riots, Atrocities against Hindus by the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (though it’s more Pogroms than actual genocide), The Ethnic Cleansing of Nepali Hindus in Bhutan during the 1990’s and anyone can google the percentage of Hindus living nearby countries have drastically dropped to single digits and all of them were harassed and brutally killed, raped or convered but no other person from different religion shows sympathy, leave the sympathy, no one even speaks a word about it because there's no violation of human rights when the victim is Hindu. 3.) Everyone knows the crucial contribution of Sanatanis in every possible field, let it be past or present. We welcomed everyone, even the oppressors, we live with the people of other religions as if they are our own brothers and we are expected to do nothing when others hurt us and our sacred places and gods. 4.) Please elaborate how MSP was only against Sikhs and not the farmers of other religions? And how was it against farmers? 5.) As for now India is our motherland and we can consider all the other states as its children, there is no loss if one state helps each other. We as a country help foreign countries and everyone sees us as a kind nation so should be our states. 6.) We as a Hindu feel the Constitution does not give us equal rights and assistance as it gives to other religions. Our temples are being taxed, we pay the electricity/water bills of our temples and our priests are being targeted across India and no action had been taken place for the same. We feel oppressed and see unjust happening to our fellow brothers but still we are expected to remain quiet. We Hindus (almost everyone) firmly believe in Sikhs, Jains and, Buddhists as our brothers, respect the belief of them because we are all the branches of Sanatan Dharma. And welcome the people of other religions with no ill interest. But it hurts when someone who we welcomed demands pakistan as their own country. Now our own Sikhs brothers, even if only a small percentage are demanding khalistan but this thing itches. [And my personal opinion on khalistan is that it is a conspiracy of ISI who wants to separate Hindus and Sikhs as Britishers did to Hindus and Muslims. If you want khalistan then firstly take that part which is in Pakistan because it is easy to occupy it as Pak is in the state of turmoil and majority of Sikhs are not supporting you because they are patriot and consider India as their motherland where they are living freely]

You left nothing but one thing out...before the training of defense/attack/strength/restraint, Satguru ji always set a Darbar for Sri Asa Di Vaar between the hours of 3-6am every morning (kirtan-gurbani recited in a musical form) and most I most importantly NAAM SIMRAN (remembering the true name of the lord and reciting it over and very again-Guru Nanak Dev Ji's main philosophy and duty in life for a sikh/human being) ending with the above mentioned poetry (Kavishree). Then of course Guru Ka Langar! Then it was the worldy issues and conflicts that they dealt with. Mind you, reciting the lords name as true bhagti (worship) is coming from the beginning of time..."OM NAMAHA BHAGVATE VASUDEVAYA"! It never stops...only changes forms. Life goes on and on and on...

@@demorvie absolutely agree…I am old enough to remember both the Punjab and the Kashmiri separatist movements.There was an absolute tgenocidalcampaign against Hindus in both states. While the Kashmiri campaign was more understandable,the one in Punjab was deeply hurtful especially because all of grew up visting Gurudwaras and respect the Gurus and the GrantSaheb as we do our own religious texts

Hardcore sikh, jain or Buddhist is considered a great traditionalist. But when a Hindu becomes a staunch follower he'll be termed as 'sanghi', 'intolerant'. All this is due to the ideological subversion of our whole population which was started by mohandas gandhi, in order to bring unity among all people he made all Hindus recessive, tolerant and all this failed miserably and mull@s got their own way and partition happened. The idea of gandhi's ahimsa is totally flawed. And all this was continued by Congress, even in our history books they glorified the invaders, mentioning about 800 years of history wasn't wrong but they didn't mentioned the negative side. And now we've so many Hindus as so called socialist liberals who do all the work of shaming Hindu culturists. The only thing Hindus should do is follow the Krishna's path and we'll never suffer the atrocities we did in past 800 years.

Also The Sikhs are taking pride in that they have saved India in the past & they are considered warrior clan. But the main point is they made a new religion which was of no need. They were already Hindus & made a new religion while everything in Sikh religion is already included in Sanatana Scriptures. Maratha ,Jaat Gujaratis, Bengali, South Indians Rajasthani and many more Sanatana following Indians are warriors & in the past never made their own religion they accepted what was in Hindu scriptures. So Basically the idea of giving something special status to Sikh religion is not fair. In the past no other sect or area of Bharat decided to get seperate from Sanatan created new religion because they were already Hindus.

I am a Malayalee. I want All Sikhs to know this. There are others in India who considers themselves as warriors and not afraid of Death. Eg Gurkhas. Tamil Tigers of Sri Lanka. Majority of Keralite also not afraid to die. Read up Operation Blue Star. Who fought the Sikh terrorist inside the Golden Temple. MAJORITY WAS FROM THE MADRAS REGIMENT. The Madras regiment contains a lot of Keralite. Many South Indian Soldiers died in the Golden Temple. They too were not afraid of the Sikhs and these South Indian Jawans were not afraid of Death.

First of all nobody in this video said that only Sikhs are warriors. You are satisfying your own ego through your comment. No doubt Sikh have been fiercely brave throughout the centuries. Secondly you are talking about operation bluestar. Let me tell you that there were hardly few hundreds against thousands with battlefield weapons. 82 casualties is a lie. That's government's official data. A large number of army was killed in that operation. And whom you are calling brave were refusing to move at a certain point of time during the operation. Then the army tanks were introduced during the operation.

Yes our ancestors fought the invaders for centuries. Have you ever read about the sacrifices and struggles of the Sikhs? Have you ever read about the impact of all that? General Hari Singh nalwas invading jamrood stopped them passing the khaibar paas till 1947. Sikh history wasn't written by the Sikhs at first. It was written by the Mughals and then the British. Afterwards it was written by hindu and sikh historians. So you think all those people were fools?

@@mukulpal8875 we should stick to truth, as all the Indic religions come out from sanatan philosophy. Sikhism is based on Bhakti movement and adopted most of the Vanis from bhakti saint and different Upanishads. Even Kashmiri pandit were involved in the writing of Guru granth sahib. Budhism and Jainism are far older sects of same sanatan philosophies. Sanatan philosophies are very vast and there were different school of thought like samkhya, vedanta, chravahak etc. These were some time contradicts each other. So we have different of opinions but we realise there are unlimited ways to reach the ultimate. That is why Indic religions/philosophies don't fight with each other like abrahamic ones.

Buddhism rise due to the pandits who edited texts like manusmriti in their favour to capture power and started discriminating, otherwise the nastikta philosophy of Buddhism can be easily countered. Moreover Bhagwaan Buddha never said he started a new religion, Buddha himself said- "Na hi verena verani sammantidha kudacanam averena ca sammanti esa dhammo sanantano"

This guy did a terrible job at sharing the Sikh perspective. He gets lost in historical facts and jumps around from issue to issue. I don’t think he made a single coherent argument. That is unfortunate because the subject was a very interesting one in my opinion.
