    While our Corrale can't quite do that, it's an innovative take on what a flat iron can do. We've realized and heard the concerns regarding, hair being potentially caught as well as the weight imbalance. Know that all concerns are noted and will be looked into for any potential changes or future models.

    Brad, since all the curly haired chicks are wondering how it's supposed to take less than 30min to straighten their hair, can you show a tutorial from wet to dry and straight hair to demonstrate how that's possible?? I'd be very interested in seeing 👀😊😊

  • @elaynaterrell3576

    @elaynaterrell3576

    It would be a lot easier if people used rollers to stretch the curls first. If they did that first it wouldn't take long to straighten it. My aunt has extremely kinky hair and she always asks why it takes so long. I promise rollers help.

  • @katiechisholm

    @katiechisholm

    4 жыл бұрын

    Elayna Terrell I can see how it would help, definitely. When I used to straighten my hair, I always blow-dried it straight before using a flat iron because I can’t straighten my hair once it’s dry and curly. I should try using rollers first to see if it would allow me to.

    I got lucky and got one as a gift. Probably most expensive thing I've ever owned lol. The price tag is super high, however, I have a connective tissue disorder. I get very tired and start hurting quickly when doing my hair. Because this is cordless and I don't have to fight with how I have to adjust my hands helps immensely. I was very impressed with how quickly it heats up, too. I never noticed any creasing nor snagging my hair. I do have thick AND dense hair though. To me, I found no flaws as Brad was talking about, but as mentioned my hair doesn't resemble the mannequins'. Save your points and get it from Ulta when they stop being such a trash company. That's how I ended up with my Air Wrap. Dyson has made some products that have allowed me to do my hair again instead of just throwing it up in a pony tail. I thought because of how heavy this was compared to my other flat irons it would tire me out quicker, but I think it helps that it's comfortable to hold and I can move it however I want.

    I had a friend in high school whose hair was so incredibly thick that the only thing that would straighten her hair was an iron; not a flat iron, an iron for your clothes. She would have to lay on an ironing board and her sister would iron her hair. She once tried a flat iron and it took over an hour, and it didn’t work: the hair she started off with was beginning to curl again when she was almost done. So yes, some girls do need 90 minutes to straighten their hair.

I tried other expensive straighteners and they also snagged and burned my hair on top of it, so this is just a minor complain. For the first time in 20 years my hair didn't smell like burnt for a week, so that was a bonus. I'm giving it a 9/10, hahaha.

    I have natural curly hair down to my knees when its straight. It never takes me over 30 min to straighten my hair. And bc I rarely straighten it, my hair is not tamed enough to just straighten the first swipe through. Technique is key I think. And making sure my hair is fully dry so I always wash then blow dry my hair right before I straighten. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️ I'm not saying it would be that way for everyone, but this 30 min charge would be fine with me.

I was just giving it a quick try and thought maybe it was because I was out of product but after watching this I guess it’s not just me. I did find though that afterwards my hair felt like I just left my stylist; silky smooth. Oh and the price for Canadians is $649.99! * On a side note I also own the Dyson Airwrap Complete and wish the round brush was much larger. Am I the only one who thinks this? Great Review Brad! It takes my hair 3 days to dry naturally and if I use a regular hair straightener, a minimum of 4 hours to straighten. I bought a hairbrush straightener to use and that takes about an hour. Works beautifully! I use that and then run over the bottom to get it super straight. The brush keeps so much volume in my hair so I don't do the whole head with the regular straightener.

    I have to admit... I have LOVED every Dyson product I have ever purchased/used. I have the cordless vacuum that was also expensive, in my opinion, and if had not been on sale, I would not have paid full price for it. I also have a portable Dyson air conditioner/fan/heater. I am very happy with both and have had them for many years with no issue. I think this flat iron looks really cool, I love the cordless. I agree with Brad that 30 minutes is fine, especially since you can plug it in if needed. The Dyson vacuum I have also only stays charged for about 25-30 minutes on the maximum suction setting, but also charges really fast, probably like this flat iron does, from what Brad seemed to say. I also agree that most flat irons that are built to last and really do the job efficiently, cost between $100.00 to maybe even $300.00, like Brad mentioned... But $500.00 is still A LOT MORE than even the best $300.00 flat iron and it seems the like the only thing your paying for is the cordless feature and the DYSON brand name. We expect Dyson to be overpriced, no matter what product they make, they are always very expensive, but most of the time, Dyson is pretty innovative and I think they are known for good quality. With everything considered... $500.00... WAY TOO MUCH for basically just being cordless and having slightly different plates. I wouldn't feel good about spending that much more for these few extra features. It needs a bit more... *°*Zaaa Zaaa ZOOOMMM*°*... to be worth that much $$$!!! LOL

    @@neeren777 For anyone with 4c hair, you have to go in paper thin layers or larger layers but going over it twice. For the whole head to be straight it will take at least an hour and a half minimum. For me it normally takes about 3 hours whenever I go to the salon. I am sure he just wasn't thinking about us curly cuties when he made the statement lol.

    I just got mine today at Best Buy for $399. $100 off . Comes with a paddle hair brush and wide tooth comb. Still trying it since right out of the box it needs to be charged. I did a few passes with the small amount charge it had. I wanted it so I could take it to work and touch up my hair mid shift. Impressed so far. Gave my hair a lot of shine. I also have the Air Wrap.

    I might be able to answer the copper/titanium question, if anyone is curious. Titanium is obviously known for being super durable and resistant to wear (really valuable for a tool that gets a lot of use). However, it isn't very good for heating up due to relatively low conductivity. So, it uses a lot of energy. Copper, on the other hand, is a REALLY good conductor, and is very common for use in electronics and wiring for that reason. This makes it great for a cordless tool because it needs a lot less energy from a battery to heat up. It's also more malleable (read: flexible) so it has that bending capability that Brad mentioned, which can't be achieved with titanium. The main downside to copper is that it oxidizes pretty easily (the Statue of Liberty is made with copper and used to be shiny brown) so I hope the other metals mixed into the copper alloy have some resistance to oxidation.

    My guess is the creasing is happening because the plates are more square, whereas most other straighteners I've encountered (honestly not a lot, my hair is naturally pinstraight) the plates are rounded on the edges.
