@@JavaughnJPorter Hopefully, any black american would look into security issues prior to traveling. I don't think people who value safety and security are considering Sierra Leone. That said, You do bring up an issue I hadn't fully considered. I agree with you. I would hate for diasporans to come to Africa and have a bad experience because they listened to someone who was being paid to convince them to do something that put them in harm's way. That's how Africa as a whole gets a bad reputation.

You can pitch Sierra Leone without putting "Stop moving to Ghana". Ghana has had it's doors open to the diaspora including even Sierra Leoneans since Independence. Try and go back in time and convince Dr. Dubois, Dr. King, Malcolm X, Ali, Maya Angelou and others about choosing Sierra Leone over Ghana. Promote the continent without being divisive. If you want folks to travel with you to Sierra Leone, do so without impugning on Ghana's image.

Exactly. No need to divide and conquer. Personally I know Sierra Leone very well and it lacks the infrastructure that Ghana has. If I had the financial means I know what country I'd settle in and it's not Sierra Leone. The passport giveaway is just a money making incentive that pops up after the rain season ends. They should try doing this during rain season. Let's see how many of them want to base themselves there seeing the flooded muddy streets of the capital city. He keeps on going on about the coastline. Its actually eroding due to water levels rising and sand excavation. This whole thing is a personal money making scam for 'Prince Amir' and that DNA company.

@@JavaughnJPorter exactly I've gone to Sierra Leone numerous times and lived there. Anytime I leave I miss the land but not the stress of living there. AAs won't last a month there. That's why he only does his tours after rain season. You won't find him there all year round. Sierra Leonean government is lax. They'll let in any Tom Dick and Harry in, as long as they make a little money from the scam. He couldn't do the same thing in Ghana cause they've got rules. I bet he doesn't pay any tax on his business in Sierra Leone. If he does its peanuts. Look how he's selling off the country's coastline like it's some cheap 'ho. The coastline is actually eroding so folk better beware where they buy.

All African countries are worth exploring, it's about preference. I am Ghanaian but I am happy to see Africans in the diaspora return to any nation in Africa so that together we can develop the continent. Africa is our collective heritage and in the words of Kwame Nkrumah the independence (and prosperity) of one African nation is meaningless without the independence (and prosperity) of all African nations. In that spirit, I feel saddened when I hear our own people try to stoke divisions or seek to pull one African nation down in favour of another. That's the game of the oppressor. You can promote Sierra leone without pulling other African nations down. You can criticise without pulling down or pitting one country against another. At this stage of our history, we should know better. Divided we are weak but united we are strong. Yes, Ghana and other African nations should make it easier for our brothers and sisters from the diaspora to return and settle... There are many voices in Ghana pushing for that change. However pitting one African nation against another is never a smart move. Grow up and stop playing the game of the oppressor. We are Africa, we are one and we have one common enemy: Neocolonialism. That's what we need to unite and fight against.

I think Ghana should give passport to people who deserves it. Ghana can't contain all the diasporas so to me it find to make it every harder. We are Nkrumah's, we are not cheap, everyone need to prove that they deserve to be in Ghana. I still go back to Marcus Garvey's statement, and I quote "if you are nothing in America, you can not be something in Africa".

It's a beautiful place but the capital city is, to put it politely a slum city. Ruined by the previous government. Filthy and overcrowded. Not surprised that AAs end up in other countries.

@@nicholasmills3674 Ghana has a Diaspora Affairs office right at the seat of the Presidency, in the Presidential complex that’s the importance attached to it. There is a separate track for people of African descent to residency should they choose to use it. You can apply for citizenship later or just remain a resident. Compared to the BS many African immigrants have to go through in US, UK, Canada some working their tails off for 30+ years paying taxes in these countries with no right to residency because of the numerous road blocks these countries put in place.

It's quality of life, not a passport

@8bo Robotnik I was born in the Caribbean and was indoctrinated into the Catholic religion like everyone else on most of these Caribbean Islands and globally due to being COLONIZED by the British, the French, the Spaniards and other Europeans. When I started to think for myself and do my own research on world history , science, religion and the list goes on. That's when I realized how much we all were lied to about everything. So now I don't affiliate myself with any religion. Don't worship any man-made God. Example Jesus/ Muhammad/ Buddha. I stopped looking for a saviour , someone, something to save me.

All that this guy care about is citizenship. Every country has criteria for giving citizenship. If Sierra Leon is using DNA that’s fine. Ghana 🇬🇭 our criteria is to show that you want to be part of us. We don’t care where your background is. I think that’s even more inclusive than this dna criteria. If you are not ready to go through the process, you are free to move to another country. Also it’s easy to get residency in Ghana whereby you can open bank accounts and do everything as a citizen.

I have been in all states apart from Hawaii and Alaska. Travelled from Federal way, Renton Seattle to Liberty and Carol city in Florida, From Gary, Indiana to Flatbush-Brooklyn, Memphis Tennessee and the home of the Blues(Beale st.) to South Central Los Angeles. I have seen all the social problems in the USA and for your information more than 50% of the New York residents are homeless. Infact there are millions of adult Americans that haven't slept in a bed for over 10 years but yet I do not have to concentrate on negativity to promote one state over the other. Fix what you can and let others do their part. I don't have to live my life by pulling down some people so that I look like I got it right. For your information your misuse of the term "Truth hurts" is totally misplaced as it buys you an admission into the Mzungu saviour syndrome without analyzing your naked contributions to the facts that led to what you have opined. Never a war in Ghana? Never say NEVER because there’s no way you can determine what the future holds. You seem to be the one sowing division by making such a discriminatory statement. You say that life in Ghana is a million times better than in Sierra Leone, but I can vividly remember that in the not too distant past, Ghanaians were flooding SL looking for a better life. Remember the “Ghana must go” era? Yes it’s time for fortune to finally smile on Ghana and rightly so. Ghana deserves all the shine and fortune after all its past challenges but let’s be mindful of how we celebrate good fortune. In terms of beautiful, kind, welcoming and educated people, well that’s also true of Sierra Leoneans.

@@Marina-mb9dw …what past challenges did Ghana go through that other African countries didn’t also go through? You could say Ghana has learned a lesson from past mistakes and now looking up. Yes, it’s a fact that Ghana has never experienced the type of wars seen in lots of other African countries. I don’t think Ghanaians are predicting the future and saying it can never happen there but the likelihood is low due to the peaceful nature of the average Ghanaian.

Ghana has never had a civil war like many other countries because of their temperament, the love for each other and how they are brought up. The vibes and energy in Ghana is of different level. @@Marina-mb9dw Ghanaians have never flooded SL he your facts rights like I said Ghana was the first country to deport other Africans when the country first gained independence and many people from neighbouring WA countries were flooding into the country to take up local Ghanaian jobs due to that the then government instituted the Aliens Compliance Bill asking all foreigners to leave majority of them were Nigerians and when Nigeria discovered oil it saw a boom it retaliated by deporting Ghanaians and the bag most of them used was named Ghana must go so which era did Ghanaians flood to SL if I may ask

You're right but Ghana is the gateway. No country ever opened their gates before Ghana did. Once more entrances are open, you are free to enter through any gate but don't thrash the main entrance just because you now have a backdoor to pass through. Africa is big so you can choose whatever country you want to live in. Each and every country is different.

Ghana actually has a diaspora community wishing his borders from the Caribbean to Black Americans unlike these other countries . It’s actually smarter to go where your people are established to help you assimilate. Ghana isn’t new at this. MohammedAli has been there. Maya Angelou stayed there, MLK was there for Ghana’s 1st independence, Malcolm C was there at the height of civil rights movement,WEB Dubois’s lived and died there, the list goes on and on. Ghana literally created pan africanism via Kwame Nkrumah. Ghana reached out again for year of return while these other countries couldn’t careless but now want haphazardly put the hands up seeking cheap benefits. This is not about hyper fixation but a natural progression based on past works.

This is the second time I've seen a video of him talking negative about Ghana. Maybe he has a personal problem with the country. The beginning of this video is really embarrassing and harmful, because words can cause division. You guys should check the history of Ghana. Ghana has always been one of the countries in the frontline when it comes to uniting Africa and embracing Pan Africanism. There are not only Diasporas in Ghana. There are Diasporas in Nigeria, Togo, Tanzania, Senegal, Burkina Faso, Liberia and many other African countries. I'm half Ghanian, half Togolese and lived several years with my parents in Lagos Nigeria. I never talk bad about any African country. We know we do have problems that needs to be fixed in Africa, not only Ghana. We should unit, ambrace africa and work together to fix the problems. What you guys are saying in this video is really disappointing. If your goal, is to attrackt more Diasporas to other African countries, there is a better way to promote this. Look at how Go Black To Africa promotes Tanzania without disrespecting any other African country. Look at what Wode Maya is doing. He promotes Nigeria more than Ghana and he is a Ghanian. Ghana took time to market itself. All countries in Africa should appeal to the African diaspora to come home to the continent. Ghana seem to attract much more due to the number of castles and the many come to Ghana campaign. The Year of Return was a major thing. Successive Ghanaian Presidents have made efforts to bring the African diaspora to Ghana. There have been a Pan African festival in Ghana for years.

Ghana has always encouraged AAs to come home since the 60s. Pan African festival has been going on yearly for decades. Year of return was just to mark 400years of slavery and to encourage more people to visit. It was successful and now other African countries are just realising it's potential. Just take advantage of Ghana's initiative and stop the hating. Ghana is not being sold cheap to no one. If you want Ghana just like any good thing you've got to work for it. This dude was probably denied a Ghanaian visa. He's just bitter and milking poor SL to line his pocket. He's no different from the colonisers.

He won't say don't use the tap water to brush your teeth or eat the salad in a restaurant. He won't talk about the land grabbing scams, lack of electricity, the bad roads, food shortages, lack of water supply, how long it takes to do things or only accessing your bank account twice a month inside a bank. My cousin got conned out of $22grand in a land buying scheme in Sierra Leone. And she's American. She managed to get her money cause she got someone to threaten the person. The Minister of Lands isn't signing off any documents at the moment. So you could be waiting a year and in the meantime the land you bought could be sold off again. He's a scam artist. Most of the American folk he takes there see the place then make a detour for other countries.

You can choose a country based on your specific needs. Each one has their own criteria. Therr is no one size fits all or single brush to paint all of the circumetances with. Ghana has a process; which includes a right of abode and pathway to citizenship. One can aleays do iy yhe way the Asians and Euripeans do; find a spouse. But it would never be automatic citizenship. There are few countries on earth that would create a circumstance where their population could literally be eclipsed overnight. It not the same as going from New York to New Jersey. It is going from one country and system to another distinct country and system.

Always good information Oshay and Dynast. In terms of Opportunities and scale in Africa. There is a map on the internet that demonstrates the true size by superimposing China, US, Eastern Europe, India and a bunch of other countries. It has helped me understand the scale of opportunities/challenges in terms of agriculture, infrastructure, transportation etc.

How many countries have you visited in West Africa? Ivory Coast may be the only country you've ever visited in the region.

Man nobody is forcing people to move to Ghana ok? You will let me disrepect you for telling people my country is bad although it isn't written like that but that's what you are trying to say.. If you want to promote Sierra Leone go on and do so and quit saying stop coming to Ghana. I would love to visit Sierra Leone some day. Offering citizenship by ancestry is a big move! I think part of the reason every African country is compared to Ghana is because more diasporans know about Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa over any other country in the continent. But I do notice a bit of bad mouthing Ghana when listening to some of the comparison videos. I visited Ghana and was very impressed with what I saw there during my stay. It is a great country. The people are very welcoming and kind! Long live Ghana!

For the Ghana comments: Advertisers always knock the top brand. Ghana ( others 11:20 ) is ahead of the curve in Public Relations + marketing their country. This man is in bed with current administration , do not understand the tribal and political tensions in the country may be another civil war may God forbid. I have never seen him in the ghettoes where poor struggling folks in Sierra Leone live. He hangs with the politicians show beautiful beaches and nice hotels. 90% of Sierra Leoneans can't hang out at those location. Sierra Leone is dark as soon as you land at the airport, no clean drinking water and consistent electricity except for where he hangs out. Sierra Leoneans want to leave in droves even politicians. Trust me I know. Your'e a stranger. Mr, show the real Sierra Leone . No justice . No insurance loose your life there see what happens. It's Mad Max on steroid.

yep its true ...i've lived in Sierra Leone and Liberia...when you land at the airport in S.leone, you take a taxi to a wharf, board an old ferry to Kissi wharf over at Freetown....hmm ..its sad he's encouraging diasporas to embark on this...smh....i think if anyone wants to find out the truth just visit both countries and decide. its that easy. with a visa to any West African country its easy to move to the other via visa on arrival.

No one forces anyone to move to Ghana. You can never pitch any African country against Ghana. Ghana is the center of the world for a reason. Stop your useless titles.

I completely lost all respect for this dude . Now explain to me who is divisive here.. On their title its state, "African Americans STOP🛑 moving to Ghana, but rather they should move to Sierra Leone."

Ghana is doing everything to make it easier for AA and Carribbeans, and Latinos to obtain citizenship. We even have a diaspora minister of affair. This shows how interested Ghana is to bring our people back home to visit and live if they choose to. There's a strong African American community in Ghana and they all have Ghanaian citizenship plus we also have a strong Jamaican community too. Rita Marley, Bob Marley's wife lived in Ghana, most of her life after the death of Bob Marley.
