That opening is so on point. I’ve said many times that I didn’t want to live, but I didn’t want to die, so using was my only option.

This is quite literally the most accurate and well written piece of literature I've ever seen or heard. Its inspirational and devastating, beautiful and sad, simple and clear yet impossible to accept and deny all at once. This hits me so hard on an emotional level because although I agree entirely, somehow I can only manage to apply it to advice I've given to the loved ones who are in the same boat as me.. Which I've pretended isn't sinking.

I am an addictions counselor and played this for my group clients. This perfectly sums up how they are feeling. Thank you for sharing your craft with us!

The connections between different metaphors were mind blowing. He truly thinks outside of the box. I can't say no more except this is beautiful to listen to.

So relatable. I have an addiction. I'm not taking, im not swallowing or injecting or smoking. Infact its in my head and im not addicted to a substance im addicted to a human. She is always there and she doesnt want to leave. She has two lives her real life and then the life inside ny head.. living with me every second of every day.

I'm an ex-addict and I can't find ONE ex-addict that did it without belief in a deity. I'm alone with this. I did it without belief in a deity.

amazing poetry but it is a disease my brain scans and spinal cord fluids showed markers that weren't supposed to be there bc abuse at an early age changed the very structure of my brain. I fought within myself for a long time that it is a disease and it was one put onto me.
