He didn't rebound or block shots to match his athleticism, and he was always injured in the post season. People don't know who he was as a player, because he made too many highlight reels, much like Vince Carter. But he wasn't that underrated either. He could've been an athletic Jokic, but human ligaments can't support that.

Blake doesn't get the credit cause we're in the ring culture era where these kids growing up feel that rings mean everything and they don't. i asked a kid yesterday what would PG leaving Clips and getting a ring do for his legacy and he couldn't answer me.. it would do nothing he'll become a borderline 3rd option and known for running from the grind cause he's been just as hurt as Kawhi.. PG was hurt last year when Kawhi was healthy in the playoffs before he went down tryna do too much rings don't always define greatness

Exactly, they should do what they do with the NHL a MVP for voted by colleagues and one for Best Team MVP. The talent is insane compared to before so the talent coming through should be acknowledged more because they should think about adding a 4th Team All NBA and 3rd Team All Defence at this point with soooo much talent in the NBA because we always talk about who got snubbed and why is it only a 12 man All star game roster, shit can it hurt to make it 13 atm so 2 other players can make it but if they did the contracts for those 2 would go up omg idk what the players association is doing to make themselves to say one player deserves 50M a year while other players take pay cuts, doesn’t make sense and that’s because of the players association

Blake Griffin is one of those players who was overrated at the time & his legacy will too because of the nostalgia in his highlights. It’s sad, because people who run with he’s overrated will say he’s a bum, while he was a consistently top 9-18. I’m not going to minimize the basketball talent he was, as truly Could’ve been the second best player on a championship team. Problem was he was on the team with another guy, CP3, who sadly just wasn’t enough to be the best player on the Championship team while the West was wide open. However, he was never a top 5 player in the league, never scored 2000 points in a season (has happened over 150 times from Bob McAdoo to Alex English to Jordan to Lebron). No first team all-NBA, & his limited spacing was a liability with the Clippers running him & DJ together. He had & did expand his game a little to late in his career, as his injuries had caught up to him at that time. He had a very similar career to Ben Simmons with the major exception of Ben never adding any off the dribble offensive game. He was never top 5, never a perennial mvp candidate(finished 3rd in 2013 with 0 first place votes, 4th place was f*cking Joakim Noah) and arguably not even the best on his team. Let that not take away from him being top 10-20 for a good 5 year stretch.

"Could’ve been the second best player on a championship team." The only season both CP3 and Blake were healthy was in 2015. The Clippers were eliminated by the Rockets. Blake was the best player of the series, with Harden playing for the Rockets, who came second in MVP-votes that season. "Problem was he was on the team with another guy, CP3, who sadly just wasn’t enough to be the best player on the Championship team while the West was wide open." Not sure what league you were watching. CP3 was the best player of the playoffs for at least 3 seasons, but also got injured nearly every post season. "his limited spacing was a liability" Blake had 3-point range, but shot with his foot on the 3-point line, because that's how big men played back then. "arguably not even the best on his team" Blake played with arguably a top-5 all time point guard, so I'm not sure why you're saying Blake wasn't even better. Are you saying you were yourself easily better than CP3?
