Or Isak can keep doing his thing at Newcastle and help get them back into the Top 4. This constant need to try and push “top players” into the same couple “top teams” has gotten really old. Newcastle is the richest club in the league now and have their own ambitious project. The reality is FFP has slowed down their ability to progress as quickly as their owners want. But they are playing the long game and will be in and around the Top 4-8 now consistently. I’d respect Isak a lot more if he stayed with Newcastle and helped them get back into the Top 4 next season instead of jumping ship for a side that are already consistently challenging for the title without him.

I don't think Newcastle are a selling club with their new owners. They are where they are this season because of having so many injuries. If they get 2/3 good players in the Summer they could be in Arsenal's position as soon as next year.

I hate all this speculation on any teams players who aren't Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool. Even Man U, Tottenham and Chelsea still get spoken about in the same vein. It's totally disrespectful to Newcastle and their fans. We also have the same with the likes of Luiz and Watkins, not to mention out manager. The injuries throughput the league is due to World cup in winter then a short summer break. Some have managed it better but all athletes aren't the same and all clubs have been affected. Newcastles problem is we had more games this season with less players through injury which has had a knock on affect. Players who played loads of games at start of season are now breaking down as theyve hardly had a rest. It could be the same or worse next year with the Euros in the summer, players need a rest to get over knocks and recuperate. The WC in winter was a mistake
