She lives near me. She was a saint to her husband Pedro. He died in 2019. It would be great to see her back on TV or anything.

Your so lucky Dana to see Vicki in person. I was still a kid in the 60s when Vicki would come on TV we would rush to the screen to watch and listen to her. Still great to watch her now. I didn't realise Vicki was Spanish. Must be where she got her natural flair from.

I had such a crush on her back in the late 70's or early 80's. And, then, in about 1985, I was vacationing in Mexico City. I was lucky enough to buy a ticket to one of her concerts. I was so moved by the concert, I broke down in tears. At the end, a photographer saw me crying and asked if I wanted to meet her. "YES, YES!!! She took me back stage and introduced me. I was awe struck, and made a complete fool of myself! I told Miss Carr I had been in love with her for 10 years. She laughed, and took it very well. I got a photo with her, and her autograph. To this day, one of the greatest thrills of my life! What a nice lady!! I still love her music.

Me too. He came from my neck of the woods. But really, Vicki Carr is Mexican? Had no idea; grew up with her on the radio.Guess she had to "Americanize herself to make it in this country.

She would have been great in movies, Broadway, and other numerous projects. I listen to her music on YT all the time. Her album "NASHVILLE BY CARR" is all old country renditions. She nails them.
