Doc was a good looking guy. I've seen some of his earlier movies.

Nobody knows this because the whole clip is not shown. But the whole funny conversation with Milburn Stone involved spoonerisms-Milburns way to describe mixed up or backward words. And he used these mixed up words to tell the story of Cinderella who had 2 ugly stepsisters. Or the way he said it-to sell the tory of Cinderella who had 2 stugly upsisters. Get it? It was hilarious! The whole conversation and story lasted about 10 minutes. A classic Dean Martin Show moment. So Dean, on purpose, at the very end, mixed up Milburns first and last name and said-Mr. Stoneburn Mil! In conjunction with the whole spoonerisms conversation! Dean was not drunk at all! It was a clever and funny way to end Milburns guest spot!

Who doesn't love old "Doc Adams" from the remarkable Gunsmoke TV show. Good to see this old video. Milburn was sure a talented guy.

Not sure if it was a gag or good ol' Deano was a little drunk at the end he says "Stoneburn Mills", twice! But I'm so impressed with Doc's singing!
It would have been great if the writers on Gunsmoke would have figured a way for Ken Curtis and Milburn Stone to sing a duet.
The Dean Martin and Milburn Stone clip is very, very edited, but it still explains the spoonerisms conversation. It actually goes on another 4 or 5 more minutes.
