"It comes and goes in waves, it always does" perfectly describes the mental health conditions; as well as its original meaning. The beautiful thing about music is interpretation. Different people will interpret things in different ways, and some similarly. Edit: btw Anxiety essentially is fear - which everyone experiences. It becomes a mental health issue when it affects your daily life.

There's this desert plant they call the 'resurrection plant'. It dries up and dies because of extreme heat. This is my comfort song, it feels like it understands what i go through. I have a mental illness that has periods of depression and a chronic feeling of emptiness that will always lurk in the background. These periods i've always described as waves. And the moments i am happy i can feel that it won't last forever and i always wonder "why can't i hold onto this?"

Im a 18year old that was doing great at school, until the quarantine started. I stopped studying and eating because I wanted to lose weight. Fast forward,4 months passed and I lost 6kgs but completely screwed my grades and my stomach....Im throwing up all the time and don't have an appetite still. Instead of a 15-16k/20k Iwrote 7494/20.000. I hope things will get better. Hope everyone else will get alright

This song is unique... I personally am not going through a good time. This has helped me to just relax, and let out my tears. Sometimes it feels like I am alone, deep down I know I am not alone but it feels like I have no one. It scares me that it might be that way forever. If ANYONE has advice on how to feel happier I would love to hear it.

Here's my advice: Don't. Be sad, don't try to kill the negative emotions inside you. Go through it, cry, sleep, snuggle your pet, go back to your childhood home, whatever makes you comfortable like old times. And when you don't even listen, you will heard a bird chirping for its own entertainment, a child - an innocent soul - laughing at something that is now natural to you but new and interesting to him/her. Or when you don't even look, you will see a sky so beautiful you've never seen before with sunbeams and clouds like a painting or with ten thousands of shining stars... And you'll understand that it's in you. It was always there. The happiness, the calmness. And the will to enjoy life as it is, whatever it's like.

This song reminds me of the girl that I (used to?) like.... I mean, I guess I used to? My feelings are kind of fading, but whenever I listen to this song, it feels like it goes up again, but I remember I need to let go of her..... It's just so much memories. She was the one who brought me to Riverdale and many things... I learned so much because of her. This was actually the song that basically contains the memories I had with her.... Now it's all gone... "I like you.... as a friend" Now I'm just a stranger that she walks past by and hides from for 38 days, and still counting.... Thank you for the memories

"and it comes and goes in waves, it always does." this line really helped me through a really bad panic attack tonight. i have dealt with severe anxiety and ocd all my life and it just continues to get worse as i get older. there are some days where i don't think i can handle it anymore or i feel like it will never end. though, that line just reminds me that this feeling that i'm feeling right now will come and go in waves. these dark moments that we all go through in life or the demons that we face will come and go in waves, but i'm reminded of the fact that it will *go away eventually*, and that these moments are temporary and that it isn't forever. nothing lasts forever. and thanks to this song, i can go to sleep in peace tonight with the comfort of knowing that what i'm going through right now will get better eventually. it always does.
