    actually Farris was way more madmen. 19.4 is only 0.5 over his 50 PB to the feet. Caeleb opened in 1.3 seconds slower than his PB.

    @@verward Dressel also had an intense sprinting NCAA schedule. He was dead during the last day, and he could’ve went :38 had he swam the 100 free as his first race

    eh not exactly, freestyle sprint is usually much faster than underwaters, which is faster than the other 3 strokes. Even in his case, it's not going to beat the top of the top, people like Farris or Dressel

    @@gavinmacfarlane6159 Dressel, in his second year at Florida (the same year Hoffer won the NCAAs), went a 18.20, much faster than the swim that Hoffer did (18.67) to win. My point still stands.

    Becker is a faster swimmer but Farris crushed him off of every wall. thats why becker made the olympic team while farris did not

    Probably had more rest (lesser schedule) and less pressure in high school. Probably also doesn't help he has to swim in the chop of the best sprinters in the nation here.
