This should b the priority. - 2 questions to ask: - You are toxic yourself - How u respond to people who are toxic towards you. - Solutions to deal with toxicity 1. Make yourself govern by Islamic laws, don’t use brain to justify reason. 2. Consciously identify problem in you that maybe I am myself toxic 3. Have empathy for everyone 4. Lets say if you figure out a family member of yours has anger issue then you deal with that person politely 5. ALLAH loves forbearance, the moment the mind is shutt off then you respond back aggressively, thus take time off and think and then respond back. It doesn’t mean u learnt about forbearance today and tomorrow u will have forbearance. It takes a cycle and repetition to gain this. Answer bad with good. And u will b rewarded doing this. - Same way u learn sabar by practicing it, u wont learn it in one day. Rewards of good ikhlaq: - ALLAH will call out the person who will leave anger at the time he could take out anger, and ALLAH will ask him to select which HOOR UL AIN u want. Prophet SAW said who will leave argument even if he is on HAQQ, then he will get plot in jannah. - Ego: let go of ego with humbleness. A humble person is first one to say sorry. And first one to forgive. He does it for ALLAH. You will get great reward. - If you acquire humility for ALLAH then ALLAH will increase your respect. - give room of mistake to everyone. - joint family system is not proposed system of Islam. - Husband is Qawwam, he is caretaker of the family. A true man controls anger. - To save relationship be heedless, dont give yourself thought why he did this to me or that to me. Give what u want more. - forgive - let go hatred and clean heart - give respect and love - May ALLAH make ME and all of us implement this in our life.

You are absolutely correct. My mother faced a really difficult susral and now when my brother was getting married she was determined to separate my brother n sister in law. My brother rented a separate apartment and now both my mother and sister in law share such a beautiful bond of respect and friendship because of the boundaries my mother created from the beginning.

I don’t think Islamic Feminism is how Tuaha bhai explained it. I used to think I was a feminist, until I saw the beauty of Islam. I started to understand why Allah سبحانه وتعالى gave each male and female a lot of rights and responsibilities in their own roles. Islamic Feminism to me is exactly how Allah سبحانه وتعالى wants a woman to be (empowered and in her feminine nature)

our culture has alot of toxic norms in this regard some of them i would like to list here: 1.parents taking their given privilege for granted extremely, 2.joint family system 3.parents giving their energy of youth to their children beyond limit and then at later old age completely being dependent on them which makes life tough and burden cannot be handled , because a person who wants to please Allah by serving old parents is unable to do so 4.parents being highly biased towards their children, favoring one on other forever has worse outcomes in later age of a person (just as in your podcast you mentioned that those who are neglected by their parents are deprived f love and thus get caught outside predators more often) 5. mixed gathering and then if you dont meet na mehrams you will face backlash and would be labelled as extreme ( they pinch you so much that it makes you feel as if you are doing something wrong ) 6.compettition among cousins in everything 7. family is really toxic in most cases in Pakistan believe it or not its the core problem of so many issues 8. social conformity above religious practices 9.concept of deen dunya sath le kr chalo" in which dunya includes almost all the haram stuff and deen means not even fullfillment of farz properly . 10.being extra sweet with outsiders and opposite to close ones (parents , siblings , neighbours , relatives etc ). There are alot of them but unable to mention them here . may Allah help our society and Pakistan with the best understanding of Islam . Ameen .

Yes I did the same maneeza all my life until I turn 40 and realized people were toxic and they started leaving me one by one I mean relatives they were jealous of my parents and treated me with toxicity because they couldn’t respond to my parents then even though I tried best to do good for all these people their ugly toxic nature couldn’t stay hidden for long after 49 years of life it came out open and they started blaming for things where I couldn’t defend myself because I live in another country all o did was helped them financially and good will . Allah related me with more and more blessing which made those people get more and more jealous and toxic and ultimately leave me now I have no cousins uncles aunts to see . I live alone in a far away country just me and my Allah and don’t think I never tried I did tried many times to reconnect but they hurt me so much that I just stay quiet now . Allah showed their true faces

I really enjoyed this. I am struggling with controlling my anger and tongue. It is becoming more and more bitter.

Aoa all. Achi BAAT achay andaaz may achi lagti Hai. I guess dramas fill that "artistic" void in a hectic busy mum day. Dramay aik entertaining way of teaching Hai in Singapore & Australia. My close one always bullies me due to my height and weight. And i never reply to them in fear. (Although I want to give them a savage reply which I don't have guts). Due to this bully, I feel scared to interact with people( social anxiety) that they will give negative remarks about me too.

I liked how you guys approached the topic, however I do think the concept of boundaries should also be added into the mix because while we are going to choose to hold up to good akhlaq and let it go - at the same time we don't want to enable toxic people to cause harm/abuse. So we are nice to people at the same time we also don't give the other cheek. One of the maqasid-e-shariah is to protect us.

Thats true, being in a toxic environment its important to set boundaries to protect yourself. Otherwise if you are not strong enough, you will be affected.
