hi, i m deaf, my name robin i m dental ceramist technician and working in dental lab as 10 years experience
Dont let assholes get to you.. Honestly I consider deaf/mute people more talented than speaking people because sign language is very hard. I try but its so confusing! Keep on, dont let people bother you. You are a great person!
this is great. a good exposure to Deaf people that they can DO anything. it's really sad when they think they cannot. great job, DCA.
I'm hard of hearing (bordering on deaf) and I'm a librarian. Seriously, don't let anything stop you.
This is actually inspiring, love it. I'm hearing impaired/deaf and work for a outside school hours care right now but all my previous jobs were retail such as Costco (bakery), Toys 'R' Us & Target. Right now, I'm studying to become a make up artist & my goal is to work on a tv or movie set after I've finished school. :)
Very interesting.. I am working for Medicare Australia in Brisbane. I am working as mail room for 15 years. I have a deaf friend who is working with me too.. No problems with hearing at my work in the city....
Is it weird that I find sign language incredibly cool ?

+IndustryOfMagic not at all, I to think its cool would be an amazing skill to have.
I was moved by those inspiring mentors. Today I feel like I am ready to come for interview and I know that the advertising company will hire me as creative artist as if I am hearing impaired. Now, i watched this video and realized that there is no limitations of job for hearing impaired people. 😇
Love this video!!! Good on you, DCA!
Hi I am Christine. I am vision, and hearing impaired. I don't work but use to.
I really liked this video! :) It seemed very informative. Thank you.

I like this vlog! Awesome!
Great Video....Well done Dutchy.
I love deaf counselors, they listen so well.
Excellent video.
Thanks for making this video!! Great to see the talent out there and...BSL is it? I thought I missed something, but here in America, ASL is a bit different! Again, nice to see the variations!
Thanks you. Love nice peoples!
you're legend !
I am an American Sign Language student. Where can I learn other dialetcs of sign language? I am particularly interested in Auslan.

+Spam in a can there are not many places that you can go to learn other Signed Languages but I bet if you look hard enough you can find them online. I would not suggest learning from youtube. Many of the people trying to show/teach sign on youtube are just learning themselves. If you want to start with an easier transition try LSF (aka French Sign Language). Its the closet to ASL.
These people are a amazing , god bless them
wow the deaf people work all of the world....congratulation
Nicken0o0 I think your right! its British Sign Language. I know ASL, and some British, so I think your right
Thanks, sweets!
are there more video´s like this one?
It's really cool to see Australian Sign Language. Never seen it before. Used to American Sign Language.
Nice :)
It's how fingerspelling is done in Auslan (the language used here). I think BSL fingerspelling is the same.
Hi, my name is Jason and I hearing impaired with Signed English and Auslan. I work as cashier at Woolworths :).
Hi. i'm hearing, but have been using American Sign Language since 1991. I was enjoing seeing the difference between Aussie and American Sign. Despite the differences, I still understood about half of what was said.
I was going to ask the same question...
Fabulous video! @thesterlingjoe- I'm Deaf American and I'm getting my PhD education at Ryerson University in Toronto. Why do ask where Deaf people get their education? What do you really want to know? My classmates are hearing and they learn alongside me. Is it about communication? Some Deaf people use ASL or BSL or Auslan to communicate in. So we use interpreters for when Professors don't know sign.
Hi friends:-). You people are awesome:-).
@TheSterlingJOe Hi Sterling Joe, we (deaf people) go to these amazing places called schools and universities. Perhaps you've heard of them? One can learn quite a lot in these places... Cheers, Andrew
Hey, I wanted to ask the way they are spelling their name, with pointing at their hands in different places... whats that called...
love it..! I thinks its great that people see that Deaf people have normal jobs, b/c they are normal people. This is BSL right? I took only one class of it. :)
@8588cee It's Auslan. But Auslan is derived from BSL, though.
Good to know
My BSL isn't great (Level 2) but I can understand that - looks like AusLan is very similar.
I'm still try to learn. Yesterday night I had my first social contact with deaf people and I was lost most of the time, nothing similar to the rythm of my class teachers xD.
actually it's Auslan... Australian Sign Language, which is a linguistically related to BSL.
I am assuming it must have been difficult learning to communicate. Does sign language have grammar in it, how important is it? Also is it different in every country? sorry for so many questions. I'm just curious!
@TheSterlingJOe Oh god.. They get the same education as hearing people. Some of them get the service assistance with sign-language interpreters, note takers, and much more. Remember this quote that inspire the deaf community: "We can do anything, expect to hear." I am studying to be an architect.
im feel happy for you, i think disabled ppl in any way are better humans than the non disabled. I can't really tell why i feel like this is just my opinion of what i've seen so far :) I really would like to get to know such ppl like you but unfortunately i don't really know how to... :'D
I'm hard of hearing, speak English and use asl sign language, I do house renovations and making furnitures for living. Yes I'm also a female doing male domestic field, problem? :)
Please keep me update regarding Job for Deaf person or any suitable Training Programme for me to acquire suitable job.
deaf driving school? WOW!! I think, BSL isn't same AusLan? I am not live Australia and I watch here. ^^
This is amazing!! I have to say Japan is much more backward than this country in this way.It is very difficult for deaf people to get a job and work with non-handicapped people in Japan.
Sign yes. Nice
Have you heard of vibrate? I work as automotive repair technology so I depends on vibrates.
I get the impression most Deaf people have extraordinary perceptions about the the people they see, and I bet some of them would make excellent psychologists. I remember a gentleman came in my shop told me his Deaf wife could always tell if someone was telling a lie. I would guess after years of communicating through sight hand language and it's made most of them highly perceptive at picking things up about people.
I don't know anyone who is deaf but want to learn (like learning another language). Is it weird I want to?
What sign language is this? im deaf and i only know ASL
I think it is British and I think I´m in love with hairdresser Ashleigh.
Thank you! Thank you! LOVE your educational video! Please pledge to end stereotypes of disabilities. See our Pay it forward video TY! Our goal is to reach the same amount of people as the US population.
I'm pretty sure this is not asl but what kind of sign is it?
I am an American. Where do the deaf people get their education and training?
This is in England. The signs are BSL and the wheel is on the left.
That's like saying there should be a worldwide language for hearing people. Language is something that is developed from culture and over time, and that's part of the beauty to it. The American Deaf Culture is bound to be very different from British or Japanese or French Deaf Culture, so their languages will be different.
This is Auslan not BSL however they are similar in many ways
Driving instructor is cool
A driving instructor? Wow!
lol dale said hi like an american :)
Hi, it me Paula Aparejado , I am deaf student. my school in Victoria College for the deaf
@krazykatkitty Thanks you.
It's Auslan, Australian Sign Language
That live UK?
Hoping to use my limited knowledge of ASL to understand without subtitles... and the video is in a different signed language.
Scuba Steve attempts to sign. Manages to flip the middle finger.
hi brent you are interesting!!! your job too!!
TheSterlingJOe: Deaf people get education and training at the same places that hearing people do.
i wouldn't want to either.
The comments below say it's BSL (British Sign Language) or Auslin (Australia Sign Language)
Wow.... I think it'd be so weird to have a deaf teacher or hairdresser OwO! Ur cool :D
DEAF'S WORK'S WORLD'S BEST...
Nice! It would be much better if there are more diversity of color deaf people. I am Black and Deaf female from 5th generation of deaf family and I work at Federal Communications Commission.
Please keep me update regarding Job for Deaf person or any suitable Training Programme for me to acquire suitable job. I will be very much thankful to you. . Kindly help me to improve my family status. I was a very good Cricket Player in my School days. I have achieved a Champion Trophy for my school i.e. Koshish School for the, Deaf at Malad, Mumbai. I have learned English Typewriting. I have worked mall for Packing and cooking sweets etc. Thanks & Best Regards, Sumit Bhosle
Got it.
Wow different signing
Ohhh never heard of Auslan...
Wow that's not fair i gave no job in 4 yrs no one wants to hire me.
Hmmm maybe, but I heard about a man who never heard sounds and after years doctors fixed it somehow. Everyone was happy, but for him it was a nightmare - all those noises were painful, made headaches and he feared them because he couldn't use to them. Eventually he asked scientists to make him deaf again...
Is that British sign languages?? Because I saw they use two hands for letter spelling.. O.o

Nicken0o0 Nearly... its in AUSLAN Australian Sign Language. it similar to BSL (British Sign Language).
It's Auslan - Australian Sign Language.
No, it's Australian Sign Language (ASL)
wow, all these people use sign language. 0_o I don't know the first thing about it and im hearing impaired... But I have hearing aids that work really well. Although, I do rely heavily on lip reading
Are you deaf? ASL started from "French Deaf Culture" in the 1800s. English is an international language. Many in American "Deaf Culture" feel that there should also be an international deaf "language". Like it or not.
Australian Sign Language
capitation works best thats what I did lol
I was always taught to believe that 2 heads are better then 1
why do they have an L on the car? i know its cause they are learnig to drive but we dont have that in California
Hi. thank u for love deaf culture and proud to be gay. i m hate peoples that hate gays and deafs because i m deaf mute and proud and gay. u r an intelligent person, full of love and acceptance and understanding. xx. happy new year.
Ok at first I was like what's with all these weird signs and sign names... then I realized it's from Australia
Looked to me more like Auslan?
So different. Sign language grammar no is, the, are. I sign BSL and MSL, US peoples sign ASL.
Dont take this the wrong but were you born dead and mute? I have always been curious how you view the world in general without any sounds to guide you?
