we have issue all over world some place its mainstream because nation in love and brace this type of music. i live in country call USA. we can not have this as mainstream do to fact people will cry foul ask for it be taken down or not played. my nation as whole call heavy metal satin music. we have hard time place allowing ghost aka ghost bc in usa to play.

@@chrislognshot Thanks for your comment. It's actually same here in Finland: metal rock definitelly not the main stream. These kind of artists like Paavo turn the spotlight for a moment to metal music showing off how energizing it is. The Voice of Finland was a right place for Paavo I think but still people here said it was a wrong place for a rock artists - both those who loves this genre and also those who thinks this show is supposed to present only those who can like really sing (=anything else than rock which is just shouting out loud). Our country is small but every part of it has their own music heritage. Those traditions are not easyvto change. If somebody sings in English that alone can be the obstacle to listen that artist. I'm happy Paavo was recruited by Before The Dawn band as a vocalist and this band has launched a new album recently. @@mshikerYou might say Metal it's not Mainstream over there in Finland, but believe me, it's mainstream compared to other countries like mine. Here in Mexico it's impossible to hear Metal on National Television, not to mention a TV Show like The Voice. It's more likely that someday could be a Satanic Pope on the Vatican than Metal on The Voice Mexico.

I'm still convinced that every time the in-house band on The Voice get songs like these they're like "finally some fun fucking music to play" xD

@@eljas7599 Back in 2014 they weren't so famous, I remember seeing their videos in KZread and that poor vizualizations they had. Since then Tuomas made such a huge progress and now he is well known outside of FInland too.

Juu, jokainen joka sanoo ettei se metallimusiikki ole mitään musiikkia niin voi koittaa vetää perässä. Ensin uskottavasti puhtaita ja sitten perään örinää, ja sieltä sitten takaisin vielä puhtaaseen. Jääpi nimittäin aika monelta tekemättä. Sen takia esim. Amorphisin Joutsen on aika jäätävän kova kaveri mikrofonin varressa.

I'm from India and the city that I live in has 3 times the population of the whole of Finland. It is unreal how such a small country produces probably the best music in the world. Kalmah, Children of Bodom, Nightwish, Poets of the Fall and I can go on. Even reality shows in Finland showcase the best voices.

@@mshiker of course I've heard Amorphis! Brings back memories from when I was a teenager. Ensiferum, Wintersun, Stratovarius, Sonata Artica - all great bands. Finnish folk music in general is beautiful.

Saw Before the dawn in Leipzig. After concert I thought this was the best MEtal voice I have ever seen. Now I can see why. WAs an amazing performance. Hope to see Before the dawn again.
