I was already on board with this movie but this trailer…. IM SOLD & Like A Prayer (my favorite Madonna song) being the song in the trailer is the cherry on top 😄

6:04 Keep in mind that the MCU =/= Marvel Comics. The comics are the source material for sure, but we have enough MCU stories to know that the two are quite different from each other: Hela is Loki's daughter in the comics, but Odin's firstborn child in the MCU In the comics, Tony Stark was caught up in the Vietnam War, but not in the MCU; the MCU changed the period and location to make the story more today. Many characters that have died in the MCU are still alive in the comics, and there are many other changes as you likely know. Why bring this up? Because this is a story about the Multiverse, it would be a massive missed opportunity to treat the story and characters as such. The trailer tells us that the Wolverine working with Deadpool is one that vailed his world--this story will likely be his redemption arc. If Wolverine is a variant, why wouldn't Cassandra Nova? She's very likely a Charles Xavier variant in the MCU. In her universe, she likely played the role that Magneto did, which would explain why the "Evil Mutants" are seen in her company in this trailer and the last trailer too (we didn't see her, but we saw Pyro in the void, which is where we see her with Lady Deathstrike and Azazel in this trailer). Cassandra's MO explains why the TVA is attacking Deadpool, even though the TVA was shown commissioning him to assist them with an issue in the teaser--if Xavier could take over the minds of every living being on the planet, so can his crazy @$$ variant. The TVA has a lot of powerful gadgets, but how do you stop someone who can hear your thoughts and turn you against yourself? You enlist an immortal and have him do it for you, of course! If you recall from Loki Season One, the void is littered with junk from numerous reset universes. The Season finale (or the lead-up) showed us a giant Ant-Man helmet on the ground in the void, along with Ronin's ship, a SHIELD Helicarrier, a Thanos Helicopter, a broken Mjolnir and Thor in a bottle. The Void has all sorts of erased variants everywhere. A variant of Ant-Man died while large and his entire corpse is being used as a base of operation for Cassandra in the void. If you look at the scenes in the Void closely you'll notice that Ant-Man's helmet is much more than a helmet, it's attached to a body! Scott's enlarged body is lying face down with his arms stretched out and fingers locked. Is this Wolverine variant tied to Cassandra's universe or a different one? She might be the reason he failed. Tying these two together makes a better story, as it allows Wolverine to avenge his world. Phase 4 was too slow for some folks, but it had some heavy lifting to do. It had to continue stories of already established heroes while also introducing us to the future members. Phase 4 introduced the Multiverse, infinite copies of the same universe which all have varying degrees of variants from one another. The MCU had to show us the Multiverse and explain how it worked before really going wild with it, and I think this story is where it all comes to a head. The MCU been teasing an Incursion since Multiverse of Madness--Across the Spiderverse sort of showed us one when we saw Miguel O'Hara inadvertently destroy the universe is daughter lived in when his universe came to him, completely destroy the new universe he made his home. We see the Fox logo in the void along with many characters from that universe. The void is where things are sent to die, and we see those people fighting to survive. Cassandra has seemingly taken over members of the TVA--she wants an out. We see a sling ring portal opening to a world this trailer edited out. Did a sorcerer from the Sacred Timeline open the portal or did Deadpool find one and use it himself? He stole Cable's time-traveling device in his last movie and changed his story once before, so I wouldn't be surprised if he saves himself again here too, lol. In any case, whatever happens, this movie likely explains WHY a number of mutants will suddenly popup in the world we see most stories take place in. LFG!!!
