the mawri is a good idea, but a fighter jet or heli would take this down with ease, its movement is way to limited. This is the kind of aircraft meant for civil war, not cross border application unless your enemy has no copters or jets.

Interesting, nice to see some tech from Africa. I heard (maybe it’s not correct) that Zimbabwe/Rhodesia improvised and improved vehicles against mines using the V-shape this technology was then used by other militaries subsequently

@@cyberphox1 Nope! The "V-shaped hull"is 100% South African invention. If Zimbabwe/Rhodesia invented it, then howcome they have never produced an armored vehicle? The South African Casspir was first to be fitted with a v-shaped hull.

It was the Rhodesians (before Zimbabwe existed) that pioneered the V shaped hull. South Africa and Rhodesia worked together to manufacture and perfect the V shaped hull starting in the early 1970's! Zimbabwe "inherited" these vehicles and the technology after Independence in 1980!

Absolutely! Ever hear of "guns or butter"? Manufacturing weapons holds back developing society and infrastructure. Society is better off producing stuff that can be consumed and traded, if possible.

I Disagree with your closing comment about the M1A1 Abrahams tank being classified as "by far the most sophisticated land based weapon" manufactured in Africa!! That PRIZE has to go to the "G5 and G6 Howitzers developed from scratch and built in South Africa in the 1980's" They were far in advance on ay Western Countries Howitzers - in both Mobolity and Range at the time they were built! Go do some research and do another Video on them alone!
