It looks like a very young ocelot, in fact, it doesn't look like an ocelot. They're bigger than a domestic cat and are great hunters and its diet includes the martens.

It kind of looked like an ocelot, but one that was still a baby kitten. At that age they are not on their own so the person making the initial video basically fed a kitten to the marten...

It was something like an Asian leopard cat (not Leopard) that like the Yellow-throated marten are both from Asia. Couldn't have been a Ocelot as they are from the Americas.

The cat was not an Ocelot but resembled a Mainland Leopard cat juvenile. I doubt a Martin would attack and kill a healthy adult. I hate when people post these types of videos claiming to be experts, when they are only regurgitating inaccurate crap.

Не оцелот это, а скорее всего азиатская леопардовая или как ее еще называют бенгальская кошка. Именно на нее напала и одолела крупная куница--харза. А снято это где нибудь в Индии, или Непале. Оцелот, третья по размерам кошка Юж. Америки и кунице не по зубам. Там тоже обитает своя куница, -тайра, но выглядит она иначе.

@@user-mx1om8ql1v надо знать размер харзы, это самый крупный представитель рода мартес. Она значительно крупнее лесной, каменной куниц, соболя. Достигает в длину метра, без учета хвоста. И конечно крупнее взрослой леопардовой кошки. Харза способна завалить даже небольшого оленя, например кабаргу.

If the marten pursued the hare for tens of minutes, the photographer would not have been able to keep up with them and film them from multiple angles.

That looks more like a margay than an ocelot. Margays are very similar looking but have a considerably smaller build and longer tail than an ocelot. An adult ocelot would destroy a marten

Certamente as Martas são predadores incríveis, porém, posso estar errado, mas, creio que esteja havendo um equívoco neste vídeo, pois, a não ser que se trate de um filhote, o felino de pelagem pintada, não é uma jaguatirica, uma vez que, um animal adulto dessa espécie, costuma pesar de 10 kg para cima, havendo registros de várias acima de 15 kg e, muito raramente, 18kg. A espécie de marta da foto, pesa de 600g a 1 kg, dessa forma, observem o quanto a marta parece ser maior. A outra possibilidade é que, como acontece mesmo aqui no Brasil, existem vários outros pequenos gatos do mato, bem menores que a jaguatirica, porém, com padrão de pelagem muito semelhante. Daí as costumeiras confusões. Por mais valente que sejam as martas, particularmente, não acredito que elas sejam adversárias a altura de uma jaguatirica adulta.
