After Johnathan Hillstrand yanked that kid out of the water in that one episode, he was easily a mans man after that episode... a REAL human being... a HERO of sorts and he wasn't following a script, wasn't doing what he was told, he was truly a hero.

Same here, I thought Jonathan was the wildest of the bunch, but Wild Bill took the cake! Watched a couple thing out of Deadliest Catch (interviews, and other stuff) and most of it changes your perspective of that particular captain or crew. Did not really like Keith but after watching some "off the cuff" stuff on YT he is also great! Never knew Keith was decent chef for example, and what he shows actually makes the crab everyone catches a little more expensive :-)

In the mid 1,800 hundreds, America bought Alaska from Russia. The cost was less than two cents an acre for a total price around 7.2 million dollars. How close is Alaska to Russia? Two point four miles is the distance from Little Diomede Alaska to Big Diomede Russia. From a national security standpoint...Alaska is priceless...priceless.

WTF. So I don't think I can't really speak ill on Larry Kings life/career and have it feel justified. But, i know if i was going to ask, say, Michael Jordan a series of questions for a cable TV show. Id never go into the interview without having seen a basketball game; thus showing that i carried zero knowledge of him or his accomplishments in my brain! Looks like Larry took a similar route. He seems to have NEVER EVEN HEARD of the fcking show. Questioning comes across as ridiculous and pretty rude in my opinion

You could at the very least say to them, I’m sorry you are hurt and in pain, but I really need for you to to be working as fast as you can get yourself fixed up. Or something on that line. I realize your situation, but keep the mood in check. Learn something from Josh.

I do think Bill is the smartest of all the Captains. Sig, he is the luckiest. No one ever speaks about how it is the Japanese buying (and paying top dollar) for US crab. The crab in US markets is illegally caught in Russian waters. Jonathan fails to mention the Canadian, Japanese,Russian crab fleets and fisheries. I believe there are way more that 400 people that would like to get quota and start fishing. The quotas for US crab fishing need to be handed out more fairly as the resource belongs to us all.
