This remake has made us Dead Space fans whole. You did an amazing job on this Motive!
Just played the Original Dead Space earlier this week and was blown away by how it holds up by today’s standards! Glad to see even the remake soundtrack is a love letter to the original 😄

As much as I love Dead Space 1…. Playing the remake made me feel the original was the beta version and the remake was what it was suppose to be all along…. This game was insane top notch survival horror… truly a gem of a masterpiece!

Some of the...I guess "cinematography" for lack of a better word, was better in the original. Like the Nicole jump scare at the end is so much better in the original because of how quick it is. A quick moment of dead silence as Isaac looks over, you notice her for a split second before she screams in your face. It's like that scene in The Ring where the first girl to die, a door opens and you see her distorted face for just a second before it cuts away. Just enough to activate your fight or flight because it was too quick to properly register, but it lingers. I don't know. There's pros and cons to both Dead Space 1 games, I think they're both pretty solid.

@@monstersandmachines It falls a bit flat unfortunately, but the rest of the game really makes up for it. If you played the original, you start to get a feel for where enemies pop up and where they start coming from - I didn't feel that at all in this remake. I felt truly hunted, and I had no idea whatever awaited me in the next corner I turn

@@testedhawk I haven't played it personally, just watched a few reviews. I heard the entire Ishimura is available for free exploration, with new areas opening as you progress. I think that's pretty cool, definitely adds to the possibility of random encounters with Necromorphs, as opposed to the scripted locations in the original. I do want to play it, I just don't have free time anymore.
@testedhawk

@@monstersandmachines Totally get the no free time bit, I'm in the same boat but still try to play with what time I have. I've been with this series since the first game came out and I 100% recommend you play it whenever you find the time. The Ishimura feels just as terrifying as the first time playing the first game and keeps that feeling real well throughout the game. This time around, they admit the spawns are completely random so you can't guess the scripted patterns here unlike the last game. I've gotten jumped in areas that I never would have considered to have enemies in them before.
11:25 Zero Gravity, One of my favorite songs from the original. I Actually prefer the original over the new one, It's far more desolate and foreboding. I do enjoy the Remake though and it has me excited for the future.
32:53 is such an ominous use of strings and I love everything about it.
The soundtrack of this game alone is fucking incredible. This is how you do a soundtrack for a horror game; the tense violins, opera, and other artifacts…It all fits so well and had me on even more of an edge in my seat roaming around the Ishimura. Bravo, devs, bravo, Trevor. 👏 👏
13:05 the bassoon at this part is just completely burned into my mind. Outstanding soundtrack!

Amazing. The team did an outstanding job bringing the game back to life and the soundtrack is no exception. Congrats on launch!
'Hungerr for the stars' and 'Make us Whole' is amazing
11:40 reminds me dead space 2 solar array theme
“Zero Gravity” really captures that anxiety in the picture of Isaac here
the game is amazing, has more of everything, is just great to see an old game being treated so nice , and it deserves , Dead Space till this day keeps being a relevant game with the atmosphere and ambience. personally i only miss Isaac old model, but leaving that aside... is excellent.
I absolutely LIVE for this game, I did so many decisions of my life based in my inspiration by it!
16. Nicole’s Theme (Solo Piano) 55:52 my favourite
You guys fucking nailed it with this game.
Make Us Whole sums up the entire game experience.
I never got a chance to play dead space back then but man this remake got me hooked and I want to see more from this IP.
from around the 6 minute mark onward it sounds just like the OG Dead Space theme 🖤
Deep ambient, this is what you need to relax, I love drone landscapes
Yes This is exactly what it sounded like to me when I played dead space 1 in middle school.
I gotta say great job EA. You finally made an actual single player game that's not shitty. Hats off to the team at motive. And judging by the secret ending I have a feeling dead space 2 remake is on the horizon

WE ARE WHOLE!!!
I absolutely love the 2008 original. I'm so looking forward to relive all those moments in the remake.
Great score. I think the original Dead Space Theme should‘ve been included as it was (then again, I can still enjoy Jason‘s great work) but the new one and the tram station pay wonderful homage to it (the tram station also takes heavy cues from Alien). It‘s a wonderful remake of one of my favorite games, not just the music. I hope this will reinvigorate the DS series, it certainly deserves to go on. Great job to everyone involved, you‘ve made a DS fan since day 1 very happy and I wish the team all the success in the world. Two thumbs up, mire if I had more thumbs. 👍👍

Welcome back to the U.S.G Ishinura 🧐
You know, I wasnt sure that you can pull off a new soundtrack with a different composer that at least holds up to Jason Graves original work but I was wrong. This here is definitely more "Space" ambient heavy and less frantic with strings like Jason Graves work but it fits really to the atmosphere. I might like this even more in some way...
The tram station part definitely gives Alien vibes.
Idk about making us whole, but dropping this soundtrack definitely made this W. 😎 👍
Thanks for the amazing game, give the devs a bonus for making a perfect game.
Dead Space is one of my favorite scary games. 😮
33:55 gives me Ringu vibes, in the best creepy way. Great job adding to the creepiness with the sountrack!
Thanks for the boot-stomping remake...what a soundtrack and game!! Rejoice!!!
Congratulations to the entire Motive team, Dead Space is stunning on PS5 👏👏👏👏
I really like the Hive Mind ost. It sounds so tense.
I love Nicole's theme. Really haunting.
Amazing work.....I can hear faint echoes of the first and third Alien scores, that spectral quality where you're not quite sure if the sound you just heard was part of the music, or made by some as-yet-unseen presence... Looking forward to exploring it all 👍 ......if my nerves hold 😳

The Dead Survive - this was absolutely the BEST theme possible to go with the Hunter’s first encounter.
The soundtrack with the 3D audio PlayStation headphones is awesome. I’m really trying to find the part where you just hear faint voices like in your head saying things like “suicidal ideation” or “self inflicted ocular injury” anyone know?

Nothing more refreshing than listening to newer, more epic and horror-induced versions of my favorite soundtracks. Agreed with the top commenter, we need Remakes of Dead Space 2 and Dead Space 3 as well, hell, we need the story continued afterwards.
It was said in either in a development diary or interview that they would retain the original game's soundtrack, but here it's said it was composed by Trevor Gureckis. Is it an entirely original score or is this the 2008 score but modernized?

Sick game. Sick music. Sick remake. Sick music.

Anyone know where to find the stinger that plays when you get a new weapon or suit upgrade? Those 'trembling' horns are so inspiring sounding even if it just a short clip!
Perfecto 👌.
This remake is a masterpiece and the composer Trevor Gureckis Gave it that survival Horror feel to it and really made it his own! My favorite is tram station and make us whole! This Remake will always have a special place in my heart and each time I play it! It still scares me and makes me skin crawl
13:47 and few seconds loop is the best part in game when you're flying in zero gravity and see this mess.
Perfect👍!
Lol tram station track sounds like from The Thing 2011 melody
it was so eerie seing and being inside the ishimura in ds2 again
The boss music in this game goes HARD

I can't even describe how Dead Space made me feel. It's an art made by a genius.
Man, I loved dead space, All the actions of horror, It seemed so real due to being into space towards infected people, I loved the touch of broken limbs towards the infected, So sad they stopped making more of the chapter's.
Is this the same guy who scored the first game? Or was that Jason graves?
LOVE
What is the part played when Mercer stasised Isaac, just before the Hunter broke free?
