This game is FILLED with little details (like Isaac's breathing and heartbeat) that work together to create an incredible sense of immersion.

God... just imagining the Hell he's been through. It honestly makes me sad. Especially after recently beating Dead Space 3. Also those helments always sound like their hard to breathe in. Like he's never using his nose to breathe. He's always inhaling.

I have breathe through my mouth my entire life, I didn't notice until much later in life that most people breathe through their nose unless they excercise or something like that. Now I try to breath through my nose just to see what it's like and I find it much harder.

I synced myself with Isaac in Dead Space 1 ps3 version. My high qaulity (at the time) skull candy wireless headphones. I play with music turned off. So I can associate my mental state with the environmental sounds & threats. Including Isaacs breathing(calm & other wise) Along with some secretive, synthesized chemicals I radically, basically became Isaac Clarke It's not recommended for the weak minded. 😇💚✨

glad that this exists, was playing and couldn’t help but think the breathing was oddly relaxing 🖤

It’s like when people have panic attacks! Breathing with them calmly actually helps them slow their breathing and relaxes their heart rate. Also sounds of the heart beating reminds our bodies of the womb and it helps chill ourselves out!

The guy breaths in calm and better than me and i'm not closed in a spaceship full of brutal necromorphs waiting to torture me and decapitate me to death.

Brings back memories

@@LethalShot3190 And it's even better, because his voicelines are affected by his state, like if you were just sprinting (out of breath) or injured (in pain). So many modern AAA games gloss over these little details that make otherwise good games GREAT, glad DS:R isn't one of em!

Isaac's a bit of a mouthbreather. Jokes aside, I was playing bonelab recently with an Isaac model that had the breathing integrated. And i gotta say, It's idly calming. Especially when listening to it isolated from other sounds. Also fuck KZread for throwing in ads. F to all the ruined naps, disrupted focus sections, dispelled calming and those that nearly dozed off and fot rudely brought back by some garbage ad.

Well without the context it can actually be relaxing. Everyone who has the context to it, will have a faster heartbeat than Isaac in this video.
