I am a Hwoarang main in Tekken but I just love how the Doa team made Rig's Taekwondo work more accurately with the legs like in real life instead of being 50/50 with hands and legs. Makes it much more fluid

So glad to see this game is still going

Crispy, DoA one of the best game in terms of characters movement, and personality. I mean, you can litterally say what type of personality every character in game have, by how they are move, and you don't need read their biography, or watch cutscenes, to understand it. Not every fighting game have such cool design. In street fighter we have many characters who just "piece of wood". But game like doa, tekken, soul calibur done good job with this aspect.

They ruined DOA5U with this super bar. The learning curve is too low. They took away what was working for years. DOA6 is terrible. Bring back Critical Burst!!!

No other game compared to the fluidity and reaction timing of this game, you can literally win a game with counter holds and not throw a single punch

i'm confused with this idea of tna being bad in video games when in every aspect of like its glorified on social media and OF as liberation. Is it only okay if women design the characters for them to have certain designs/costumes? Even artists are being told what they should and shouldn't be creating in their worlds or pieces, ppl need to take a step back and see the ridiculousness in that.

Most likely won't happen, this game did not do well meaning I doubt they will have the funds to continue to develop DOA7; DOA5 was the last good DOA game unless the IP is sold to another game studio and built again from the ground up.

Actually, DOA7 was planned to be in development before the support for DOA6 was discontinued but ended up being canceled due to poor sales of DOA6. (A LOT of stuff has led to its downfall.)

Why isn't this game more popular? This game is sick! It's likr Tekken but more fluid and the combos are like a mix between Tekken and Mortal Kombat. Obviously Tekken is very smooth especially T8, but man, this game is dope!

I feel like since they narrowed the counter hold window after 4 the triangle system is a bit unbalanced. I mean how often do you see counters in a round?... once... if that. You have to guess out of 4 possible options (low, high, mid and front kick) which is already hard to do without reducing the timing window.

I started out playing DoA for Ryu(I guess people call him Hayabusa in this case). And end up loving the mechanics of the game. The way its quite toned down and relaxed compared to other fighting games is perfect for me. I still remember playing the game so much the cd broke and I can't play the game anymore🤣🤣

Can they at least bring in Dead or Alive 5: Last Round for those that would want to compete even in Combo Breaker?

@@DOGEELLL Why it's more popular than DOA? good question, it's probably cuz of the nostalgia factor, in my teen days everyone had a PS1 with Tekken 3, DOA was barely known, probably bad marketing and lack of luck, idk, one thing for sure tho, some games will sell no matter what just cuz of the title/software house behind them, take Rockstar Games and Capcom for example, they could make anything and it would still sell no matter the quality, the same applies to Tekken unfortunately, it's beyond me how can a game which is always awful in every single aspect can be the most popular fighting game out there... the textures on T8 are horrible and it's UE5.

I've been trying to get into DOA and VF since the PS1 era, but everything about them has always been so bland. From the characters to the music, the stages, the gameplay, everything is just devoid of any personality. I'm not surprised both are pretty much dead right now.
