LaCrosse itself is still very alive and has a very engaging community and atmosphere.
Journeys closed in 2018 along with Cellairs kiosk and Morden Jewelers.
This palce used to have a kick ass arcade wayyy back when it first opened, I can't remember if it was called Treasure Island, or if that was on the North SIde, tho.

Wasn’t it called Circus? Down by Sears back in the day. When the McD’s was in the mall too.

@@aaronjarvinen9681 I'm not sure, for some reason Treasure Island stuck in my head, but there used to be an arcade downtown, too. But I remember both of them were great!

Not sure if it opened with this name but the Arcade was called Circus back in the early 80s. Would hang out all day there on on Saturdays.

Its not as dead as the East Town Mall in Green Bay, WI.

Urbex- A Peak Inside - there's already a video out about the East Town Mall. Its pretty depressing.
Looks like that mall could go in either direction. Isn't this a college town. Hope fully this will bounce back. Thank you for doing this.

its actually in onalaska not lacrosse and is not coming up anytime. all stores expect the expensive ones are closing
The only big store left now is JC Penny's. Sears, Herbergers, and Macy's (which used to be Daytons) are all gone. It's definitely a dying mall now. Barnes and Noble is its biggest people draw and theres now a HyVee attached at the old Sears end. Many of the smaller stores are gone.
What anchor did there used to be, at 2:38 at Valley View? I realized I forgot to ask that question, when I first watched this, and caught this detail on a rewatch of this vid I did just now.

It used to be a Macys then closed and after Herbergers moved from one corner of the mall to this Anchor and closed 4 months later . Not sure why they even moved locations with a bankrupcy looming . Now we also lost the Sears so only JCPenny left .
Good video on this mall! And nice to see it's still doing well. I wonder how this mall will fill the Sears space, if(like I suspect) it closes down sometime in the next few years? And from about 2:40 to a little after that, which anchor store did that used to be? Enjoyed this, keep up your videos. Too bad per other comments, that the sunken seating areas were removed from this mall in an early 1990s renovation.

@@UrbexAPeakInside I'm still around. I hope you get back into uploading new videos, since I hadn't seen anything new in a while. BTW if you want, check out my photos at prfsnlwannabe, on both flickr and instagram. I hope to get into making videos soon, but I want to get familiar with video editing software before I do my first such videos myself. If I may ask, which program do you like to use, for the ones you upload to youtube? I do livestream via Facebook Live at times, but that is as much as I've dipped my toes into doing that so far. But I'm VERY ready to expand into making actual videos, and BEYOND just livestreams on facebook!
This mall was not dead/ dying compared to todays mall
VVM has new comfortable chairs now. Uncomfortable blue benches are gone, yeh. This mall is dying, very few people during the week.. What should be done with all the empty large stores?
Lots of things have changed
The mall is STILL here today in 2021
Urbex- A Peak Inside. Since you've been there, the mall has been in almost deep trouble. Both Herberger's and Macy's have closed already, and Sears is closing in November. This will leave JcPenney as the only anchor left.
Mall has its days but a lot of the stores claim the rent is just too crazy to stay in business and their only anchors now include JC penny and the book store. Final words, love not waiting in lines but I miss the stores
It's not that the mall itself is going dead.. just those stores that aren't there anymore are gone and dead. I live here and this mall is always packed on weekends and especially holidays. Lots of stores will stay for a very long time! Lacrosse isnt dead. Just gotta see the local events page!!

Hello fellow urbex. Saibaidee
2 years later...its dying and close to death. JC pennys is all thats left as an achor. Macy's, Sears, and Herberger's are all gone. The food court has 3 places left. If not for Barns and Noble Im not sure theres much of a draw. I give it maybe another year and thats it. Rent is insanely high and the trafic is minimal.
This person makes the mall look bad, but it’s actually really nice
